Fallkniven Knives

I love the F1 A1 combo. So capable!

i have an S1 and a WM1-3G. both are awesome blades.

the F1 is a proven design with many years of outstanding military service to it's credit.

Way to go Basilios:thumbup:
I had the same dilema a few years ago. I came across a Fallkniven close-out sale by chance. Bought all 3 at once also. I like them all but there's a real battle between the F1 and S1 as to whats my favorite. I tend to favor the S1 most of the time.Take all 3 with you on your next trip and do different tasks with them; you'll see what each one is capable of.

My only wish was that there was some sort of blade show near my area where I could maybe get a killer deal on some awesome knives.

I'm one of those who think the F1 blade is a bit thick myself. I don't say that as a criticism of the knife actually, just that my preference for knives that size would be for thinner. I can certainly see where others may prefer the thicker blade though. Other than that I think it's a great knife. I also like that the spine edge can spark a fire steel really well.

i havent really heard of any real benefit of the 3g

only that it holds its edge better but is harder to sharpen.

but to me that isnt worth the extra price tag.

What is the difference in the two steels (3G or VG10) the knife comes with?

3G is considerably harder to sharpen than the Lam VG-10. it allegedly holds an edge longer. it should be noted that while VG-10 is amazingly easy stuff to sharpen, it won't hold a razor edge for long, but it WILL hold a good working edge for a very long time.

I was eyeballing an F1 for quite some time now, but wanted to wait for the Blade to see if Busse would release something that may give F1 a run for its money.
The new Basic 4 and Scrapyard 511 look somewhat intriguing, but at this point I think an F1 is the one.

So did you end up getting one?

My knives are still in the mail and it turns out the f1 is backordered from where I got. So only two knives on their way to me. Now just to play the waiting game until they all come in.

The F1 is a great overall blade. IMO everyone should have a F1 in there collection.
The whole Fallkniven line up is very nice.

This is killing me!

Stupid Canada post strike has held up my knives for ages now!
