Fallkniven?

Excuse me for ruining this picture-less thread, but I show mine off any chance I get.:D

the folders are well made, great steel
the PXL has a clip, like the FH9
the Tk3/4 have a sheath

Fallkniven are excellent knives.

Since I have fewer fixed blades than folders, I have focused on Fallkniven vs. Bark River Bravo 1.

You would be happy with either.

As already indicated, the PXL and FH9 Maroon Micarta are the only two Fallkniven folders that have clips. (Note: the FH9 Mother of Pearl does NOT have a clip)

I have a PXL for EDC at work and I use the pocket clip on this knife. I will also mention that it is a solid robust knife, it is also large and fairly heavy. That is why I use the clip, it is a bit too large for my liking to just be riding around in the bottom of my pocket. Just be aware it is a big knife.

I also have an FH9 user. I took the clip off of it (just not a fan of clips generally). It is also a solid well built folder and a great size for pocket carry. With or without clip.

I have the F1 and A1 - both are outstanding blades. Just holding it in the hand while watching TV and you can tell they've really thought the design through. The only complaint I'd have is that the A1 will create hot spots on your hands (actually my finger tips) while chopping.

The F1 never gets left behind when I'm out in the bush.

Attached are pictures of the clip on my PXL. Like others have said this folder is built like a tank and comes very sharp from Fallkniven.

Agree with the above post. You can't go wrong with the Fallk's or the Barkies.

Although I've never handled one in person, I've never really heard anything negative about their knives and they seem to have a really strong following. An F1 and an S1 are definitely on my shopping list!

FuriousPace thats exactly what i want! That thing is beautiful! how much?

You will have to shop around to find the best price but the PXL generally runs $225 - $275.

Also available in Maroon Micarta.

Worth every penny IMO.

i've got an S1 and a WM1-3G and i can't fault them. they take a wicked, wicked edge and hold it through some pretty solid use.

you may find the handles a little on the small'ish side, most people do, but after using them for a brief period they seem to fit like a glove now.

my WM1 is my constant companion nowadays.

Fallknivens aren't cheap, especially when compared to that other well known Swedish brand: Mora.

but they are in a very select group of makers at the very top of the production knife heirarchy and are on par with anything offered by any other manufacturer.

edit: i should warn you, i've found purchasing mine has given me this rather irrational fallkniven addiction. i'm contemplating a H1, TK6 and U2. it could become an expensive habit. but not one i regret having.

I bought mine for $190 a couple years ago on Ebay. I just checked Ebay to see if any were listed and they had a couple of the white micarta handled ones listed for $475, but I think you could find them cheaper somewhere else. The Fallkniven prices have gone up, but $475 is more than double what I paid.
