Yep, put the sharp side anywhere near stone or metal and you are asking for micro chipping. I'd like to see Fallkniven branch out into 3V - I'd pay a pretty penny to see that. Not sure about 3G though.

VG10's advantage are retetion and easy to sharpen.

One thing to remember - the VG10 bladed Falknivens are made in Japan, a requirement if you employ that steel. The Mora's were made in Sweden. If you want a Falkniven F1 with a Bark River handle and Sharpshooter leather sheath, same vendor as Bark River employs, try the custom F1's at KSF. That's the best of all three - Swedish blade design, Japaneese steel, and USA made handles & sheath!

I've fondled the F1 & A1 - I went with Bark River.

or you could just get a blade blank and make whatever handle/sheath you like.

i'd trust my falkniven s-1 in any wilderness-survival duty.
