fancy scales sale #1, vintage micarta, SOLD

Any of the EDCs left? I want one.

I'm sorry, this sale is sold out. We're working on a few for (hopefully) next week and that will be the last of that pattern until we can run them again. We're currently running Light Choppers and I plan to run more EDC after them, but it's going to be a little while.

Thanks, I appreciate your interest. Thanks to everybody for your support. Jo and I are continuing to improve our output, so those of you who haven't been able to get the gear they need please be patient, I hope to have even greater output next year as we continue to streamline our process. My hope is to eventually have shelf stock.

So great to hear. Can't wait to have a Light Chopper in my pack.

I watched the server time and my own computer's time across a few refreshes ahead of the sale, and determined that they're identical. Realistically, most computers are probably syncing off of the same timeservers (and/or different time servers synced to the same master reference), so your computer's clock is probably as good or better for this purpose compared to an atomic clock.

Really, I'd wager it boils down to latency between your latest refresh, and the time it takes for your response post to bounce across all of the servers between you and the bladeforums server. The more hops, and the more latency, the more delay relative to other posters. Which is to say, there's probably a LOT of luck involved. I was stunned to place at all.

Yea I refreshed exactly at 3:00, and it a was not yet live. Did another refresh, pressed the reply button and pasted and submitted rapidly, then it churned quite a while until my post was up.

Shelf stock. Hahahaha.

Hahahaha. That's a good one.

Want a unicorn to stock the shelves too?!

I love your positivity!!

Yeah, exactly. Not sure if most of that latency was in the various routing hops transmitting to the BF server, or the BF server churning on all of the posts landing at the same time, but there's definitely a noticeable response lag when posting anything at the best of times, and it seems considerably higher whenever there's a rush due to a speed-sale. That extra lag could be adrenaline and anticipation, though...

:) If he had a unicorn, he could just train the thing to machine the damn knives itself, with its horn. Talk about a production efficiency increase!

Couldn't help myself was just caught up in hearing " Shelf Stock " or even the amped up production :-) I can wait, cause it's worth waiting for. Although I do have fun with the sales, it's just speed on the computer isn't my thing. It would be nice if the sales was for special blades or handles, etc but one could order regular production from the web or phone.
But it's fun to be here and I'm extremely happy for the preorder list :-) Thank you !!

The reason I say what I did, is not to be dis-respectful or anything, just honest.

Nathan has said he planned to continue sales as he increased production and that as he reached saturation and things slowed down, the issue would self correct. However as Nathan and Jo have gone on to double production, and double it again, demand has continued to grow faster than that production growth. Production of the last couple models to be retired, the FK and the Kitchen knife were no where close to the saturation point and saw increased demand once retirement was announced.

The best indicator of future behavior is relevant past behavior. If Nathan gets bored of a model after producing several hundred, then goes on to retire it, so long as it is a general use pattern, like the kitchen knife and the FK and still an amazing product and value I think they will be retired in high demand.

Shelf stock? Good luck trying to find a single CPK for sale right now. LOL.
