Fans of the Smooth: post your Smooth Bone Traditionals

A very smooth item too Ron

Oakleaf shield is really something, unlike that Banana or Guitar GEC have played with:eek::rolleyes:

I have a couple of the Schrade USA Heritage 8OT stockmen in green and brown smooth bone. The brown is like many of the older Case knives, in that it shows a great deal of difference between the two sides. The green bone is almost a motor oil color, with browns and grays mixed in with the green.

Hi Jeff, Schrade did not make a Heritage "8OT".
The Heritage main blade, I believe was made of stainless steel by Camillus.[owned by Schrade ???].

Schrade did make a knife that looks very much like the Heritage knife, without a shield - That knife was an "8OT"
That knife had a Schrade blade and stamped 8OT, and as an "Old Timer" the blade was carbon steel.

In my humble opinion, the 3 knife "Red Bone Set" was the best bone handled knives, Schrade ever made.
The Red Bone, is such a rich dark red bone.

The knife without a shield, is an 8OT. Note: stains on blade and grooved bolsters...Ken.
