Funny how time seems to slow down when waiting for a glorious blade in the mail :).

Does anyone know how long shipping will take from the UK to the US? I'm guessing about a week? I'm sure the snow on the East Coast isn't helping either (keep warm over there!). I'm very anxious to see how hard this is to sharpen (I should probably get some diamond stones now) and how it compares in edge retention against CTS-204P, S90V and M4.
 
Interested in any trades for one of those tip ups? Haha. I got iPhone 4S w/ Morphie case and mint quality motorcycle jackets and gear + Harley Davidson stuff. :P

I'm only half joking. Due to unemployment ATM I need to start bartering stuff I have from impulse buying when I had too much disposable income.

Mine arrived in the mail today, and they were definitely worth the wait. Awesome work, Farid! :thumbup:

Mine arrived today. I had to take a Dremmel to the detent path to smooth it out. It felt so gritty with the hot rolled finish. It's still not super smooth, but it is far smoother than it originally was. I then went to work on the edge because it was just way too thick and wasn't cutting very well. It took me a little over three hours on my Edge Pro to thin out the edge and get it to where I was zipping through cardboard with almost no resistance. The edge is much better now and just about how I like it. A little more refinement to the edge and detent path and this beast will be good to go. Prepare for a long workout when you want to sharpen this monster. Watch out for sweat and water. In the time I was sharpening I had tape on my blade. Water must have gotten under the tape because when I removed it, there was multiple black spots and marks all over the blade. I had to use a hard rubber disc on the Dremmel to get the spots off.

Overall, I am happy with it, but it would have been prefect with a smoothed out detent path and a more acute angle on the edge. Considering that this is a blade steel that you can't find in just any knife, I don't mind having to tweak it myself to get it how I want it.
