yep.

my wifes cousin has pitbulls. we were at her uncles farm up state from me. her uncle has angus cattle. we are standing by one of the field fences and one of the cows wanders towards the fence. cousins pitbull out of nowhere comes at high speed face first right into the barbed wire fence and snaps hard at the cow which moved back just enough to not get bit.

i know pitbulls have bad reps but this one is quite old and calm. that cow sure popped its instincts into gear.

I cut some limbs with ole blue this week off of Skunk bush. They were mostly the size of my little finger. Which created some burrs on the blade. I've noticed hard cutting creates burrs on this steel. So, you'll have to get good at stropping on a diamond stone or back honing. I tried some other mediums I use on other knife steels but normal stopping on SiC slurry doesn't work as effective as on a fine diamond stone. This removes them quickly. Just letting you know it's characteristics. Every steel has it's characteristics, if you run into some concerns with this steel just leave me a profile message and I'll get back with you. Enjoy using your Titan. DM
So David what your conclusion be on the different steels you have tried. Have a favorite?

I really like: 440C, cpm154, S30V & S90V. The rest are good in there class. Just not as good a performer as these other steels. None chipped, none rolled. And I admit the duty I put these thru is to their limit. Not many will do this. It was more than this. It was the way they cut that I liked
as well. DM

I never thought I would own a pitbull but this one picked us at the local SCRAPS. He is good with our other dogs. Loves all of us since the beginning. Absolutely the strongest dog I have ever handled. Here he is with my youngest this last summer. I believe he is 9 months old here.

Our Nigerian Dwarf milk goats got a new winter house today. They are not showing much interest in it. Give them another week when our first
winter snow hits. I believe they will appreciate it then. DM

They will be milked twice a day (once of age to breed and have given birth (kidding). Then we'll use some as milk, some for butter, some for cheese, some for cream, ( yogurt & ice cream), some for lotion and some for soap. The wethers we'll put in the freezer. This breeds milk has the highest butter fat content for a milk. Thus, much can be made from it and is sought after. DM

Skyler, I'm sooo impressed with your adventures. There is a fish in the mouth of one of your catfish. A tree that huge, I've not seen. 76 morel mushrooms, one cannot eat all those in a week. Do you saute the mushrooms in butter and wine sauce? Do they have a woodsy flavor? I'm thinking those will be good with your catfish. Great photos.

DM, that is a channel cat, if you look a little closer you can see the spots on the body...

Giant sequoia trees aren't 23' in dia.? I agree let's get a "ruler-ing" on it...

DM, I've had goats milk ice cream, the best I have ever had, boy is it rich though...

OK, fess up, how many of you had to walk thru the feedlot after a rain and it's a foot of the nastiest muck you have ever seen or smelled and your boot gets stuck and slips off while you're in the middle the lot? It's happened to me more times than I want to think about...

You guys are correct. 23ft in circumference not diameter lol! That would be one big tree...

David I found just over 100 that day. I use egg and flour then fry them in a pan. They can taste woodsy if you don’t clean them. The catfish are all channel ranging from 1-6lbs and small bullhead hiding behind them. I don’t filet them just cut them into chunks and into the batter and fry daddy.
