I'm a Spyderco fan as some of you know and don't know too much about Benchmade knives, but I want to get one because I love flipping that Axis lock. I've been practicing with my SOG Ti Vision that has basically the same lock, but I don't like the knife for EDC because of the combo edge. BTW...anybody interested in a trade for it?
I like the Switchback and Griptilian with the thumb hole, but I was wondering what's the favorite Axis lock Benchmade knife around here?
Thanks! :D

Many Benchmades fans swear by the model 710, others by the 806 otherwise known as the AFCK.

I don't own or have handled either so I can't comment from personal experience. I do own three versions of the Benchmade Ares 73X series, so that is my current favorite Benchmade flavor.

The Benchmade 805 is MY favorite folder of any brand, but the Benchmade 710 ain't no slouch, either.:D.

The 805 and 806 are my favorites of the big ones...

If you want more friendly, small ones, the 690 and 770...

And I can't wait to see the 670........ :)

Love all of my thumb stud axis models(16 in all).....first one is the best, the good old 710

Hmmmm soo many choices. I really like the AFCK Axis with the thumbhole and D2 steel, but I also like the Ares, Switchback, Griptilian, Osborne, McHenry & Williams, haha! I could go mad!

I just got a new Pardue 530. I don't think it looks as good as the old 350, however it is the first Benchmade with an Axis lock that I have really taken a deep liking to. It is so thin and light, it is almost amazing. It slipped it's way right to the head of the EDC line.

I have noticed that one before. Its slim profile is very enticing, and all in all it's terribly inexpensive!

I really like the 940x series, especially the 943....so slim.......and tip up carry for a lefty is just perfect. Having one in titanium handles with a s30v blade would be the best.

That aside, presidio looks great and the 705, 710, 806, and 722 and that's my short list.

Sorry, not a big fan of the Axis lock. As far as favorite Benchmade - 800 or 804. AFCK

I like my 710 the best of the axis locks, but i also like the 722 and the 735.....and the 721......and 720 :D :D

Can't remember the number but the blue Sentinel makes my heart flutter. Pity the scales are split on the clip side and its a female dog to get out of your jeans :D

The trouble is: Once, you hold one, you think it´s the greatest. Then, you take the next one and realize, both are the greatest and then you start thinking, better stay away from the third one, it might be the third greatest knife.

:D

Mine are the 806 with a custom RWL34 blade and the 520.

806 because of the great looks and the 520 because of the very perfect balanced design. It´s absolutly a working knife, great looking, superdooper cutter. Wait a year and you find a third group next to the 710 and 806 fans.
