What is your favorite Becker EDC and why?
If you only had two things to EDC, a Becker of your choice, and something else, what would it be?

I love the 14 for EDC since it is such a great work knife. I started volunteer work at a State Park by my house and it has come in handy more than enough to earn its keep on my belt.

If I had to choose a Becker and another? It would be the 14 and my Victorinox climber; the same combo I had today!

Machax, as usual

oh wait, that's if i could EDC it :>

has to be the 14 right now

though the 15 is real nice

more likely one of those two and my Gerber Suspension multi-tool, it's Always handy to have a pair of pliers or a screwdriver!

I don't carry any becker for EDC, its simply not feasible for me on campus and at work.

:(

Hey, what is the exact steel used in the CV Case Sodbusters? Is it 1095 Chromium Vanadium like the Beckers, or is it just the straight Chrome and Vanadium?
How have the edges held up when it came to carving for long periods of time?

dont see any 1095, dont think Case makes the full size 'Buster ATM, but I'm sure they're still for sale somewhere. i've EDC mine since '98-'99 and it holds up well, can get scary sharp...retains it thru a lot of use.

I usually carry my bk11 at about 4'o clock in a skystorm sheath along with a case peanut in the right front pocket

Cool, thinking about getting a nice, not too expensive, folder.
EDCing my BK2 was starting to feel a bit excessive for certain occasions...

Sorry, I forgot to mention...
For those who are interested, my preferred EDC is the BK2 in a nice Azwelke foldover sheath (thanks again L4NE4!) on the left side, positioned for crossdraw, and an Armor Zippo on the belt in a cool leather Zippo sheath.

3138 CV
actually, the answer was in my pic....marked right on the blade ;)

IMO its hard to go wrong with a Case folder. They aint ''tactical'', they aint what a ninja would carry, they just plain out WORK!

BK-11. Very handy knife.

And I've got a teeny tiny Spiderco on my key ring.

EDC-ing a BK2!??!??!

how does that work out? lol

Pretty good actually, if I'm out around sheeple, I use a simple jacket to legally "conceal" it without permit.
It's legal in California, if I'm reading everything right. No limit on blade length, and no blade thickness is specified, so, why not?
Like I said in a previous comment, it does, at times, feel excessive. Maybe when I get a nice CV Sodbuster, I'll just throw it in the car.
