  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Favorite Becker EDC

I carry my BK2 edc along with a case trapper with a spey blade along with a leathermen surge but if i had to choose 2 it would be my BK2 and my leathermen i can do anything with that combo.

Edc? Usually a CRK small sebenza for "suit" days and the HEST folder or BK11 on jeans days. I have a leatherman sidekick (new spring open is a major plus, used to have the wave) on my laptop bag.

Just got a Bark River Bravo necker that while smaller blade is stooopid sharp!

On my pack is the BK10 and after a recent camping trip my BK9 is getting much more carry time as I can.

I carry an 11 and 14. Sometimes I will switch 1 out for a KaBar TDI. Sometimes I will switch out from a fixed to a folder, in which case I will carry a spyderco or benchmade... Unless I'm looking for something cheap and fast then I carry a CRKT.

Hey, what is the exact steel used in the CV Case Sodbusters? Is it 1095 Chromium Vanadium like the Beckers, or is it just the straight Chrome and Vanadium?
How have the edges held up when it came to carving for long periods of time?

walther ppq, fun stuff

odd, ur 'Buster is 3137 CV while mine is 3138 CV (at least im pretty sure thats what the #s signify, steel type)

What year vintage is yours ??

I must have gotten it a little over two years ago, mine is a sodbuster JR not sure if they would use a different steel on the Jr

that explains the scale, I was thinkin my Case was actually as big or bigger then my 14! ;)

BK11, BRKT Bravo Necker 2 (the 3.5" blade version), or one of my own design for a fixed, and either my HTM Gun Hammer, or my Ritter Grip with custom black/green G10 scales, made myself.

If I had a BK11 I would be carrying it like no ones business. Just sayin'...

No fixeds with a blade longer than 4 3/4 (unless locked up, so I COULD edc my BK-2 in a locked side pouch of my backpack), and no one-hand folders here, so mine would have to be a BK-11 and a Victorinox SwissTool. Not much you can't do with these two, real working man's tools.

I use them both all the time at work (machine shop). My coworkers like the BK-11 as it always comes in handy, is sturdy enough for heavy cutting tasks, and then just slips into my back pocket. Awesome little knife. Needs kydex though.

It's legal to carry any knife in Florida, with the exceptions of federally restricted knives (i.e. butterfly or switchblades), but you can't conceal anything more than a 4" folder...

I would say BK2 is my EDC, but that's not true, my latest EDC is an $8 folder that works pretty well given it's price. I just don't want to deal with someone calling the cops on me because I'm carrying a 'weapon'.... For crying out loud people, Boy Scouts has no rules on knives other than state laws! Oh, wrong place for that rant, anyhow if I really wanted to it's legal, so if you guys wanna carry your machaxes or your 9s around as EDC, then move to Florida, or another state that allows it I guess, but Florida needs more people that know about knives.
