AO1...that Wilson looks like a great little package. Can you provide some more info, please?

It is a great pistol, Small, light weight, night sights, and a fixed barrel giving great accuracy for a short barrel firearm. It has a gas piston that reduces felt recoil, eleven round ammunition capacity...Oh and did I mention it is light, rides all day in my belt holster or jacket pocket and I forget it is there.....and for a Wilson the price isnt that bad.
The kimber is my normal carry though.. match grade everything and laser grips make me feel comfortable when or if I ever need it. Check this tide bit on Wilson website if you have your eye on an ADP...

Looks comparable to the Glock 26, only with better ergos. How thick is that grip? I bet that thing would be perfect with a shave/stipple job by Boresight Solutions, like the one on my 19.

Hmmm...I'd love to try one of those.

On another note, my first foray into the 1911 platform was via SA's proprietary 9mm EMP. That was just a beauty of a gun, but I just could not trust it to function 100%. After sending it back to Geneseo a third time, I passed it on to my pops, who had drooled over it since day one. It's his PD gun, and he seems to trust it just fine, though I keep trying to talk him into a G19 with a BSS custom grip job. He loves mine, but doesn't see the need to spend the extra ducats when he's perfectly happy with the EMP. I'll tell ya...I could take the 10 ring with that thing all day long. Sweetest shooting pistol I've EVER held.

The kimber shoots sweet but I have had a problem sometimes with target ammo(115 and 127 grain), keeping the action open after the last round...Wilson is suposed to come out with a mag this month that I have been waiting for that I hope will correct this problem. Doesnt happen all the time but it has happened more then what I would consider a fluke. That EMP is is sweet pistol, what was wrong with it???

I would like to know more about your pistol.

It's a Ruger MKIII .22 LR pistol, with 1911 grip panels. It has a Tactical Solutions' Threaded "Pac-Lite" upper, and a SWR Warlock Suppressor. Very light and easy to pack around.

Awesome .22!!!!! Looks sweet with that Krein fatty warden;)!! Nice pic.

Great Thread!
Busse Public Defender with a piggy-back sheath that holds a GW. :D
And, the Glock 17.

I initially got a VERY early production run EMP. Serial was #112. That thing would NOT feed JHP's. Fed it various weight Hydrashoks and various weight GD's in standard and +p pressure and it just kept hiccuping, so I sent it in. They "polished the feedramp and throat," but I still had feeding issues, so I sent it back and they replaced it. A couple months later I took a class with my EMP and my Kimber SS Pro TLE/RLII, and I had multiple failures with both. I could tear a ragged hole in the bullseye from 15 yards with either, but I just coudn't trust them. So, I asked the instructor what he suggested and his curt response was, "Get a Glock." I was vexed because the ishty Glock ergos were why I went with the 1911 anyway. About this time, my boy Ben at Boresight Solutions had pretty much perfected his basic reductions so I sold my Kimmy and gave the EMP to my pops. He bought me a G19, and I grabbed a 21sf and had them both worked by Ben. Now, I'll never go back...ESPECIALLY since Ben has since perfected his EXTREME redux, which gives me a 1911 grip angle with a fast-load magwell. Can't beat Glock reliability, but Ben sure improves on their ergos.

Btw...I should add that before I gave the EMP to my pops, I sent it back to SA a third time, then ran about 200 problem-free rounds through it. By that time, though, I had already decided to cross over to the dark side.
