Favorite camp knives?

The RMDeux LE is the best camp knife out there. It's really a perfect all-purpose knife. It's lightweight and relatively thin, but yet long enough to be a solid chopper. I think that's what I like best about it. Unlike a lot of the mid-sized blades that have been suggested (that tend to be too thick for their own good), it's not going to weigh you down. But at the same time, if you need to really work with it and chop, you can by gripping back on the handle. With some of the smaller blades that some have suggested, it's really difficult to get enough leverage to make chopping easy.

The one drawback of the RMDeux LE is the double guard. But I've learn to live with it. And it is no longer an issue.

Go to blade? Post the used one!

If the camp knife is going to be used to process food, I would use Satin, competition finish, or a stripped version-Coating will and does come off-just my opinion

Basic 8 for large chores or everything. an Izula,I know it's not a Busse but, until I find something Busse in that size range(game warden). And maybe the war dog. That should cover everything.
