I've done it several other ways,this is just the easiest:)

BTW, on the subject of "cave man" knives and such, I should probably mention that the only electricity I used in the making of that knife was the occasional light in the shop. There were no power tools used:) I'll also say that it took me the same amount of time to finish this one as it does to do it with the press, grinder, ect. The only catch was that I needed a striker to do the heavy drawing. Slightly more work, but immensely more rewarding.

I also made the glue out of pine rosin, beeswax and wood dust, a trick I learned from Tai Goo and Chuck Burrows. That one should fit the "caveman" criteria fairly well;)
