Endura '98 for me. Reasonable looks, good steel, excellent serrations or super sharp plain edge, lightweight, opening hole, ergonomic, "choir boy" looks (compared to many), good size, ambidextrous (lefties unite!) and available for a low price - I wouldn't cry if I lost mine (I might if I lost my Krait!).

BM Ascent. Best of both worlds: Benchmade style and Spyderco hole. I also like tip up carry.

Endura's are great. I'll second all of the above(Except, I cry everytime I loose a knife. You shoulda seen me when I lost my Q

)

I also love the CRKT Mirage, They are well under $50 on the WWW. Very solid. All 3 of mine passes the liner lock tests with flying colors and fit and finish is top notch. And a very comfortable handle. Its only downfall is the steel(AUS-6), but for $35, one shouldn't complain too much.

The M16's are good also.

Sincerely,
Adam

Endura 98 for me. Although now that you mention it, I bet I'll like the Calypso lightweight just as much, when I get one.

The lightweight Native is my favorite inexpensive knife. It is right around three inches and it really fills up my hand nicely.

The Endura and Delica are great knives. Also, worth mentioning is the micarta calypso jr, even though it's a little over 50 bucks.

Just got my Lightweight Calypso Jr. from Mr. Mattis.

What a knife!!!

I'll say more soon, but for now, just this: I can't imagine buying anything else in the $50 range.

What a knife!!!!

One of two knives:

1. Spyderco Stainless Delica
Got mine for about $35.00 !

2. BM Mel Pardue 350 in BT2 coating and semi-serrated blade setup.
Cost me nearly $70.00...Now is $49 !

Both of these knives combine terrific reliability in relatively small, sturdy, yet inexpensive packages.

I carried my BM with me everyday for a year, until I got the Delica.

For everyday, low end cutting/utility needs, it's a toss up!

My favorite "cheap" folder is a Swiss Army copy made in China that I got free for using a Ward's charge card a few years ago. Surprisingly good steel.

My favorite "inexpensive" folder that represents good value is of course the venerable Buck 110.

5. Kershaw Talon (got it on close-out for $35.00)

7. Spyderco Merlin (A Kick butt blade here!)
8. CRKT Zytel M16-032 (Freakin' outstanding value!)

A CRKT B&S Kiss. I use it daily for letter opening chores and it makes my friends cringe.

Neat little half-handled knife.
