Favorite childhood toy

Legos were my favorite child hood toys and of course plastic toy knives :-)

Later I had the Man from U.N.C.L.E. kit guns -- you'd start with a Luger and add a shoulder stock, barrel extension, telescopic sight ...

I had one of those too!

Lots of cap guns and dart guns, Micronauts, G.I. Joes, Corgis, Dinkys, Hot Wheels, Matchboxes, Star Trek, Star Wars, Space 1999...the list goes on. My all time favorite, however, would have to be Legos. :)

immensely fascinated with the working of a gyroscope,
but nuthin' could beat the wonderous backyard adventures i had with a sling shot...

Legos, Star Wars action figures/vehicles, matchbox cars, baseball, football, hockey, and hoop trading cards.

Legos. I'd still play with Legos if I had the time.

I was never a big fan of GI Joe... at least in the 80s the quality was lacking and their crotches usually broke off.

Aside from Legos my favorite toys were my baseball bat and glove... but I still play with those from time to time.

My GI Joe Base on Wheels "The General" That sucka was MEAN!!!!!
The Battle wagon rocked jock with its automatic missile gun. Cobra stood no chance.
When I was real young I thought I was He-man. My mom bought me all of em, I was a very lucky brat.

Thanks mom.

Tonka Trucks,Hot Wheels & Matchbox Cars,Super-Hero action figures(they're NOT dolls!:D)

When I got a litte older,it was my BB gun.I loved that thing.

I was born on the 4th of July. I was obsessed with fireworks.

I think it was my 6th birthday that I got a box bigger than I was stuffed full of fireworks. It was an assortment back when they could ship fireworks.

My parents had a load of sand dumped and as long as I stayed in the sand was allowed to light 'little' fires and set off my fireworks unattended. My favorite thing to do was to build a little fort in the sand and I would put little army men around it. I would then place firecrackers in strategic locations and proceed to blow apart the sand fort and launch the army men. I would then finish everything off with my Red Ryder BB gun.

I didn't care for most toys that I remember and was always running around outside having adventures in the yard. IMO it's how kids should grow up. Outside and not with a remote control glued to their hands. I had the first Atari but you had to program the thing. I remember writing the program (I guess I just copied it?) to see what it would do. And when Nintendo came out I played with it some but not much and would much rather have been outside.

Tinker Toys

You Lego era folks may have to Google that...my three brothers and I had a lot of fun but always seemed to need a new set by the following Christmas.
