So many of us here post pictures of our knives posed next to our morning coffee mugs. You know we all have our favorite mugs, so let's see them.

My son is a lover of tea (and all things British) and we go back and forth about it all the time. I told him there's a reason Americans drink COFFEE. He bought me this mug on one of his trips. It remains my favorite because of it's sentimental value and because it's just a great mug.

No offense to our British Porch members, it's all in good fun :)

We have a large "Hacienda" style home. Over the years we've bought a lot Mexican/Hacienda style furniture from a store down in Bakersfield called Mi Hacienda. The couple that owns it goes down to Mexico a couple of times a year and buys handcrafted furniture mostly from one village outside of Guadalajara thats been a furniture making center since Cortez). They literally will buy a semi load and then come back here and finish the pieces at their home as they buy the furniture built but unfinished. Once finished they then sell the items in their store. Here in this pic, the bar, the dining table, chairs and the mirror behind the bar as well as the margarita pitcher and glasses on the bar all came from Mi Hacienda.

Every morning I sit at this solid mesquite table (chair on the right is Dave's chair) and do all my BFing on my tablet. This table probably weighs 600 lbs and took four guys to deliver it. I grab one of those horseshoe coasters that we make there and set my coffee cup on it as I read and type.

Anyhoo we were in Mi Hacienda and they gave us a set of 6 coffee mugs one time just for being good customers. They are good folks. These mugs have been my favorites probably going on 5/6 years now. I use one every morning and they show up in the shop often too:

OK, spare some place, Zorro's riding on the road!:D:thumbsup:

My favorite “mug” mug would be these basic heavy white mugs I got shortly after I got my house. I was still living at home with my mom when her house burnt to the ground; it was a dark time for her. My brother and I started taking her to breakfast every Saturday morning at a different diner, restaurant, hole in the wall... ect. Almost every place had these basic white mugs and it became apart of the experience. It brightened her time until we got back on our feet.

Hornorable mention.
My first hunting experience was on a frigid early morning hunting long beards. I was chilled to the bone and my source of heat was sitting next to me, my dad. He shared his hot black coffee with me and I watched in awe as the bitter drink was poured from his Stanley thermos. It wasn’t half bad, but my inexperienced guts disagreed and soon I reeling in pain from my sudden “urge”. It ended our hunt early, but I was hooked; on hunting and black coffee. My mom showed me the way to “enjoy” coffee with a little heavy cream, or half and half and I haven’t looked back.

The Stanley thermos of my dad’s was coveted heavily by my brothers and I growing up, along with his olive drab Bucklite 422. I have the knife, but lost the thermos in the fire.

Side bar.
My ex gave me this mug and I really liked it, more than I liked her. I dumped her and blew the mug up with my 1911 in 45 ACP. I don’t regret either action.

Great stories that go along with some of these mugs. Most seem family related somehow. Funny how a simple mug can evoke such emotions. The best part is when you open the cupboard and see THAT particular mug sitting there, clean, and ready to use. Makes my morning a little brighter. The coffee doesn't hurt either :)

None taken although as an Australian I should add that nothing annoys us more than New Zealand ....except....being of British heritage.
We hate all minorities equally especially Poms and Seppos .
So in order to repair the damage to International relations I have created a coffee/tea/ herbal infusion tryptich of mugs with with all the diplomatic sensitivity of the blitz...

Note the proud Union Jack , Oscar de la Grouch Americas most beloved statesman in Australia and of course an image of what an American looks like as imagined by a British artist.

Being absolutely neutral, I must warn you that some Third WW started for less than that...

My son's mug, with his commemorative Case trapper. We don't see much of these, though there's a great variety.
