Favorite Coffee Mug and Traditional Knife

The flavor changes over the course of time can be interesting with a good coffee, but cheap coffee needs to be hot or iced to avoid the worst of the poor quality effects.

I don't even have a pulse in the morning until my second cup. Lucky I have a Daughter in California that roasts the most amazing coffee beans from around the world and sends me care packages. Yesterday it was Kenya, this morning Ethiopia .

My favorite “mug” mug would be these basic heavy white mugs I got shortly after I got my house. I was still living at home with my mom when her house burnt to the ground; it was a dark time for her. My brother and I started taking her to breakfast every Saturday morning at a different diner, restaurant, hole in the wall... ect. Almost every place had these basic white mugs and it became apart of the experience. It brightened her time until we got back on our feet.

Hornorable mention.
My first hunting experience was on a frigid early morning hunting long beards. I was chilled to the bone and my source of heat was sitting next to me, my dad. He shared his hot black coffee with me and I watched in awe as the bitter drink was poured from his Stanley thermos. It wasn’t half bad, but my inexperienced guts disagreed and soon I reeling in pain from my sudden “urge”. It ended our hunt early, but I was hooked; on hunting and black coffee. My mom showed me the way to “enjoy” coffee with a little heavy cream, or half and half and I haven’t looked back.

The Stanley thermos of my dad’s was coveted heavily by my brothers and I growing up, along with his olive drab Bucklite 422. I have the knife, but lost the thermos in the fire.

Side bar.
My ex gave me this mug and I really liked it, more than I liked her. I dumped her and blew the mug up with my 1911 in 45 ACP. I don’t regret either action.

Awesome post.

Oh, LOVE them cookies!

Nice SAK too
Thanks! They sure go well with coffee.

Dwight is that a Speculaars Dutch type cookie? Kind of spicy?I spose the windmill is a clue but I remember the ones that looked a bit like the Lewis chessmen .
Jon I believe you're thinking about the same cookie, these are "lil Dutchmade" almond windmill; they are a little spicy - cinnamon, ginger...
Spicy and yet mild...
love windmill cookies!
:)

That's them.
The other ones which as a man with type 1 diabetes I need to steer clear of are German Pfeffernusser....you know...full ginger bread with white icing ...maybe 1 or 2 occasionally.
I think an additional favourite biscuits with mugs and knives clause should be added to the thread.
Cheers.
Let me introduce an Aussie childhood classic ...the Arnotts Honey Jumble.
