Favorite Coffee Mug and Traditional Knife

Thanks GT, it's a vintage pyrex I found in a box of ild dishes in a garage I had to clean out for work. I'm currently looking in local antique places for a vintage jadeite mug with straight sides. That's what I remember my mother's father drinking coffee from.
Thanks for the info about the source of your pyrex coffee cup, David. :cool::thumbsup:
Good luck in your hunt for a mug like your grandfather used. I prefer a mug with straight sides; maybe I think they're less likely to tip over. 🤓

I posted this in the toting thread the other day. My favorite mug. My youngest daughter bought we it for me 5 or 6 years ago for Christmas. She 16 now. I’ve been using it every morning since.View attachment 2324631
Cool sentimental mug! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Do you have a Case moose pattern you can pair it up with? ;)

No. I do have a GEC moose that I might just have to take picture this week of the 2 together. I honestly never thought about it until now.😁

This my current standard cofee mug.

knarfeng. Where did you get that mug? John

My favorite mug in the cottage we rented in August is the one in the middle; I used it for coffee every morning.

The one on the right is one of 2 complimentary mugs we could take home with us. Here's a close-up showing latitude and longitude, which I don't have available on any other mugs.

I love it when this thread pops up! Great mug 5K Qs 5K Qs !

This was my dad's favorite mug, and after using it daily for years, I can see why. Perfect size for my coffee to stay hot, and perfect dimensions for my hands.

Thank you, sir. :)

Your heirloom mug from your dad is outstanding! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
What does (or did) MoorMan's sell? Farm supply or grain elevator or something like that?

Thanks 5K Qs 5K Qs ! Close guesses. My dad fed our livestock MoorMan's feed when I was a kid. I think it was mostly a livestock feed company, but it's been bought out by ADM, and I'm not sure what its status is now.

We got a lot of Moorman's branded stuff from the sales rep, including several mugs and my first pocket knife. My dad got knives for all of the boys one Christmas. I carried it every day for over 20 years until I snapped the tip. Then I carried it some more until I realized I could never replace it if I really damaged it. It's size is (currently) kind of between a Buck 505 and 503, and probably the reason I'm drawn to smaller pocket knives.
