Favorite fixed blade fighter?

I would tend to agree that the one of the best if not the top fixed blade fighting knife in the world is the Kukhri.

id say my Miltac CS1 would be an ideal fighting knife while still useful as a woods knife or utility knife.

It was designed for fighting by some fancy-pants soldier/killer guy who knew his nasty business. It looks hella intimidating, but I wonder, in a real fight, would it be too heavy and slow you down?
 
Hard to beat the Classics like Kabar or Randall.

Fitzen Tank or Predator mabey? Saw them on his sight they are pretty narly looking fighters.
 
Wharncliffe style blades, its all according to what style of fighting your using, if you plan to just poke as many holes in the guy as possible then something else but for slashing like in Haganah techniques then always a wharny. I love my Busse sus scrofa even tho its gotta small down curve to the end of it.... want a CRKT dragon...

I got the CRKT version of the Dragon in the mail today, after finding out about it thanks to this thread. I have no intention of ever doing any knife fighting, but I like wharnies and fell in love with the knife. Knifecenter has some left on closeout. Going to take it camping this weekend and play with it...

Heh! I have always been facinated by anything assocaited with Lt. Co. Fairbairn so when Boker came out with their Smatchet, I picked one up. It definetly is a big, heavy knife and not well suited to quickly flick around. I'm no knife fighter, myself, but I think in a duel against an trained opponent with a smaller, handier blade you probably would be at a disadvantage. I don't think that was what it is designed for, however.

The Smatchet is a big knife for chopping and disembowling that would probably reward strength and agressiveness in place of skill and speed. In real life, using a knife in moden warefare is probably infrequent enough, that knife-on-knife fighting is almost vanishingly unlikely. In the sort of rough-and-tumble CQC combat against pistols, rifles, etc, I think it would probably excell. After all, the designer was one of those who had "seen the elephant" and designed the knife based on real-life experience with armed and unarmed combat.
 
Sog Seal Pup. Not an overly large knife but well balanced very easy to handle and extremely sharp. Thats the knife I would use.:D:thumbup::D

I can't say that I have a favorite fighting knife. Personally, I would prefer not to get into a knife fight.

If that's the case, a killing knife would better suit your needs. Maybe somthing along these lines: the "Suppressor Ordinanza GIS" by Extrema Ratio.

+1 He does make some great knives. However, my ultimate fighter would be a Walter Brend Model 2. Of course you can buy 4 or 5 Randalls for the price, but man is it nice. I have one of his Rescue 2s, which are significantly cheaper, but still more than a basic Randall. Here's the Model 2.

i like those made in china cheap knives you can buy in the shopping channel, they cut flesh like no other.............:D
