Well...
I have to agree with shandrydan and go with the KERSHAW RAM for number 1. It's the greatest flipper I've ever held and for the price is just unbelievable. You don't have to use the flipper either. The hawk lock is similar to an axis, but a bit smoother, at least on mine.
So, as I foreshadowed, any BENCHMADE WITH AN AXIS is just fun to play with once broken in. Only thing I've found comparable to the RAM's hawk lock.
Also love the action on my G-10 SPYDERCO MANIX 2(not the lightweight, doesn't have the same smooth action). Not quite as satisfying as the Benchmade axis locks or the Hawk Lock, but still excellent. There's a "3-dimentional feel and sound" when playing with those first 2 that others just don't seem to get. None-the-less, I love spyderco's ball bearing lock.
PARAMILITARY 2 it also fun. Something about the placement of the hole that makes it flick out more naturally with forefinger/middlefinger flicking. Plus, like all the above mentioned lock types (if you noticed, I think the lock is what makes a great fondling knife) the compression lock allows one to flick the knife opened and closed, a requisite for a great knife to play with.
I didn't really include this as it would really be a different thing, but of course a butterfly knife is more fun than all of the above, but that's not really a fair comparison, is it?
