Favorite Horror Movies?

Here is a unusual and old classic movie, with no gore, no dizzy handheld cinematography, and some really outstanding top notch performances. The movie is pleasant for the most part, and the horror is very subtile, but grows as the movie progresses. It scared the heck out of people then, and it still does today. Anthony Perkins is in this one, and although his character is the exact opposite of his classic Psycho, he will terrify you in a way that will permanently burn into your memory.

For more traditional fun good guy vs slimy/murdering/creepy bad guy horror, try:

-The Creature From the Black Lagoon
-Tremors
-The Time Travelers (a low budget movie - but good time travel flick and ultra-violent ending)
- The original Thing (1951)
- Forbidden Planet
- Cloverfield
- The Myst

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet....but to me the scariest horror movie I have ever seen was the Rocky Horror Picture show:D

I've heard good things about the Uruguayan "The Silent House" (La Casa Muda). Anybody see it? Seems to be along the lines of "Blair Witch" atmosphere building.
