Favorite Kershaw Knife?

I have only started to look at Kershaw lately and my only knife is the JYD II composite blade. I love the wide blade! Cool.

Hi-Im new to folders, and have seen a few- but nothing on the scale compared to you guys,...But I must admit I realy like the Kershaw Speed Bump-its relatively cheap, and yet the opening action is great...quick...smooth, and sharp as hell--I have yet to handle a zt ( hey-I am in New Zealand here ) but cant wait .
If anyone can share their experienced thoughts as to why not the Speed Bump for an edc?-all I can see is probably the size come into factor there?..but then some knives here mentioned are as big-if not bigger?
-I would appreciate your honest opinions.
I did own a couple of speed bumps-but as soon as my other knife mates got hold of them-they were gone lol-so I have just recieved another one from Ryan-this one I will keep :-)

Hey Duncan I'm glad your liking that Speed Bump. I think the main reason some people don't use the Speed Bump for EDC is just the size. Its a pretty big knife to carry around every day at work and is a tad big for what most people need a knife for on a daily basis. I tend to agree with that theory unless your in a field where you need the extra blade length. Also sometimes you'll get some strange looks from the non knife people because of the radical shaping of both the blade and the pocket clip. However I do think it is about the perfect size for weekend and at home carry. I'll usually carry about a 3 inch blade at work and once I get home I'll toss a 3 1/2 inch blade in instead. Another plus with the speed bump is the recurve adds a ton of extra cutting edge rather than a straight blade and the first part of the blade is really nice for cutting rope and what not. The knife also fits my hand like a glove. Ken Onion really seems to know the human hand and how to maximize ergonomics.

I say my fav the Blurs :) - my Holy Grail is the ZDP CB version  (I hope it arrives home soon :D).

The Tyrades and the CB JYD2 are the next coolest, IMO.

Ti/ZDP Mini Cyclone is at the top of the list. After that, and in no particular order are the SG2 Blur, CB ZDP Blur, S60V Blur (NOT a blem!), 110V Shallot, CB ZDP Shallot, and an old favorite and a very well executed piece is the Boa in S60V. Thinking about it, the Boa might have to be put at the top of the "others" list.

Top three that I own:

1. 1725SG2 JYDII in Ti/SG-2
2. 1725CB JYDII in G10/CB in D2
3. 1993-2 Gentleman's Folder

Stainz

4 Kershaw's share special place in my heart:
Kershaw JYD II Composite
Kersahw Lahar
Kershaw Mini Cyclone
Kershaw Zing.

Out of those, most I carry Zing and Mini-Cyclone most as Lahar and JYD II are bit too big for Urba carry but they are excellent knife for house, cabin woods and such where you need good, solid knife which fills your hand well.

The only Kershaws I own are an Orange G-10 Tyrade, a Tyrade Ti, and a ZT-0350....gotta say, I love `em all....I`ve owned lots of production and custom knives, can`t say any of them have been better than the Tyrade Ti....it feels like it was carved from a solid block of metal...excellent value for the money.

The favorites in my collection are in no particular order.... Groove , RAM , Od-1.

Tostig

Either the Skyline, or the Leek. They're cheap (meaning: you can abuse them without thinking about it), light weight, and easy to deploy. My kind of knife.

I only own one. A Blackcolt 2. Very simple inexpensive folder that is well made and I like mine alot.
