Favorite Kershaw Knife?

My favourite is the Gentleman's Folder, it's one of the best production lockbacks I've handled. Fit and finish is outstanding, and the action is tremendously smooth. It's quite flat and thin so it fits very comfortably in any pocket. Vg-10 blade, micarta handle and brass liners.

The first one of these was made in 1993 as a limited edition with a soft leather sheath and a presentation box. Original had AUS8 steel to the best of my knowledge. Very nice, both of them. The new one is model #1993-2

If your worried about torsion bars then pick up a kershaw with out one, there is plenty of good un-assisted models, like the RAM and JYDII.

I've actually been using my cyclone sans-torsion bar since the bar snapped, and it works fine. Be warned though - most assisted Kershaws will not really work without a torsion bar installed, some can even be a bit dangerous (my leek and my blur both have almost zero blade retention without torsion bars installed).

I own probably 25+ kershaws and only once did I have a torsion bar break. This was my fault though as I used needle nose pliers to try bend the bar and it caused a weak point. It broke immediately after I re-installed it.

As far as my favorite Kershaw its hard to choose just one but I would have to say that the Ti SG2 JYD II is at the top of my list.

My Kershaw Blur, I did have my torsion bar snap on me after a few openings. But that's alright im sending it back when i get home. I love the blur. its so thin and light. the slight gap between the knife and the pocket clip make it slip in and out easily, but not too easily that it falls out. and the tractec doesn't cut up my jeans.

My favorite is the Kershaw Boa model 1580 in S30V steel date of birth i may 2006.

Why is there so littel love for the beautiul Boa.

What model Zero Tolerance is this?

It looks smaller than the 300 series?

Is this one a Ti framelock?

Thats the 0200. It is actually longer while the blade is narrower. It is a flipper that is NOT spring assisted and it is a steel liner lock.

Ahh too bad. Its a sweet knife & I dont want a spring asst actaully since they tend to wear out.

But the folder that I choose HAS to be a Ti framelock.
