Favorite Knife Around $75?

I can’t say it’s my favorite because I’ve only had it for a day but I am blown away by the action, fit and finish and sound of this Civivi Elementum that I paid $63.75 for on Amazon. Rosewood scales and a D2 blade that centers perfectly and flies open.

Can't go wrong with a Delica/Endura, both basically the same price, can be found for around $60.

I got in on the Woot CS sale and picked up a Golden Eye also. Hard to beat S35VN for under $50 and surprised how decent it is. Mine had some pretty bad lock stick, like really bad. I polished up the mating surfaces and played with it a lot now it's as smooth as my AD10, really slim and lightweight (relatively) and fits in the pocket nice too. Great around the farm.

Mine had no lock stick, though I did take it apart and round the inside edges of the scales a bit to make it feel completely comfortable.

I really, really didn't expect to like the knife as much as I do. It's much thinner and lighter than I expected, and it feels great in hand. It's a bit wide in the pocket, like a Spyderco, though. The ramped hole opener works amazingly well, too. IMO it's a great knife. I'm glad it ended up on sale so cheap on woot, I probably never would have tried one otherwise, and I would have missed out on it.

Yeah, for $100 it never caught my eye as something I'd want. Like you I never would have handled one had they not been so cheap but now it's a worthy addition to the knife pile right beside the AD10 and 15, I only have the 3 CS knives and all are pretty good knives. Makes me look at Cold Steel a little differently these days, I don't dismiss them out of hand anymore :)

That is a nice looking knife. Going to have to check into that one.

So I ended up going with a Cold Steel Code 4 with a tanto blade. There was an open box deal on Amazon that was less than $50 sooo with S35VN at the helm, that was a steal. I'll definitely be taking a second look at a few knives mentioned here if it shows up and is in bad shape (which I've had happen before).

Thanks for the recommendations! It put a couple brands on my radar that I don't have in my collection yet.

Shopping on Amazon can be stressful.

+1 for the Kershaw Bareknuckle if you don't go Spyderco. If you don't mind assisted, the Dividend is perfect for what it is.
