I have many favorites, but I will just narrow it down in this thread to one of my favorite folders and one of my favorite fixed blades. Sorry, no pics to post.

Favorite Folder: Spyderco Paramilitary

Purchased at New Graham knives a couple years ago for $125. This was probably the sharpest knife out of the box I have ever received, it also held its edge longer than any other knife that I have owned. It is an amazing slicer with a large and comfortable handle. I dont buy linerlocking knives anymore but I absolutely love the compression lock. The spyderhole makes it very easy to open, and I prefer it to thumbstuds. For the size of the knife, it is extremely light which makes me more prone to carry it than many other knives. I also consider it to be very strong, given the weight of the knife. I do also carry heavier knives but it is always a joy to pick up the para after carrying something heavier. The only thing I would change about it is not tapering the spine so much and leaving the tip a little thicker. All around, this is a tough folder to beat. I like it as much or more than many folders double the price.

Fixed Blade: Rat Cutlery Izula

Purchased at knivesshipfree for approx $55-60. I have always been fascinated with neck knives and have been looking for the perfect one for a long time. For me, this is about as perfect as a neck knife gets. The 1095 steel is extremely tough. I have battoned with the knife with no concern of breaking the knife. Rowen does a great job with their heat treatment and the steel holds its edge for a good bit, and touching up is a breeze. If I were allowed to carry fixed blades here, this thing would get a lot more pocket time. Its size makes it very easy to carry. Many people, including myself spend a ton of money on "hard use folders." I think an izula would be a great replacement for this type of knife. It is 5/32" thick and is a good slicer as well.

Well you got me in quite a predicament trying to pick out the mostest favOrite ONE.
When all factors are considered, and 2-3 thrown out for irrelevancy, I'd hafta say
the ONE left standing would be this MSA Co. 2001 EZO Jack with Italian jigged handles
and matchstriker pull. Very well built, I can't give it a single demerit.
Where from? insignificant since they have no more.
How much? unimportant b'cuz it was only money & they traded me a real KNIFE for it!

Oops, forgot the part about favorite NOT owned yet.
Guess mine would be the Queen/Dan Burke Limited English Jack
in carved Black Lip Pearl QN9703 with BG42 blades.
Think they were priced around $300...that's $100/inch.

My favorite knife would be the D2 para military from Spyderco

Its just an amazing knife, it keeps an edge well, the size is very nice, cool color combination, comfortable, and grips well.
The compression lock is awesome and locks up tight every time. It has a nice big spydie hole for easy use with or without gloves.
I just love D2 also, holds an edge very, very well and is still somewhat rust resistant.

Nice knife with an interesting grind.

In my experience, the IKBS pivot is usually accompanied by a flipper of some kind, but I don't see one there. Do you just pinch it open at the filed area near the spine?

the 167V is a collectors club model. my paramilitary is 164V. it just adds a little more value to a knife.

my fav is the fallkniven a-1 amazing knife and take sabuse extremely well.....every knife nut should own one.

Rick the groove in the blade and the texturing above it make for easy opening with a flick of the thumb. The action on this knife is incredibly smooth.

My favorite knife at the moment...

Spyderco Manix 2 S90V... Still available for slightly less than $200 if you look around. Finally broke the lock in on one of them. Working on the other now and man do I have a sore thumb.

I can't narrow it down to just one... or two, so here's five (pardon the poor photography).

(From top to bottom with a small description)

Victorinox Soldier - This one has been in my pocket since I purchased it new in 2003 for around $18.

Spyderco Paramilitary - My other EDC. S30V. I really would have liked the D2, but I hate that "green" color. Great knife, in my pocket every day. I paid a few cents over $145 shipped a few months back.

Buck 110 - The best knife design ever. This is one of many in my collection, but it's probably my favorite. 440c steel, made around 1974.

Buck 503 - This is one that I rescued off ebay for an astounding $12. Got it home and realized that it really didn't need much more than a good cleaning. Razor sharp 440c, holds a great edge and has beautiful maroon micarta scales (the picture doesn't do it justice). Words can't describe how much I love this little knife.

Benchmade 710 - I EDC'd this one from January 2006 until my Paramilitary came in August or September of this year. I still love this knife and if Benchmade would make a version with a half inch less blade I'd buy ten. This is the old 154cm version (the switch to D2 came in February '06 if I recall correctly). It was around $115 shipped.

The 710 still has my custom, homemade guitar string omega spring...

As far as fixed blades go, and I don't have many fixed blades, this one is probably my favorite...

Ontario RTAK. The original, 1095 with nice canvas micarta scales. It's seen a few beatings and has held up great (the beatings show). I just wish it had a better sheath. I think it was a little under $100... I've had it so long I don't really remember.

I'm sure I forgot a few favorites too.
