Favorite large Blade?

My himalayan Imports 18" AK is just right; but, for variety one of Bill Siegle's knives would do just fine.

The largest knife that I own is a BQM combat survivial Kukri. I love this thing, especially the kytex sheath. It is really sharp and works great on cutting saplings and small trees.

My choice[bl=10 inches long ] [bl=2 1/4 inches wide] [overall 15 1/2 inches long] of fighting/combat/chopping Bowie Knife is: RHR 39~C

My favorite is this 10-inch square-nosed chopper in W2 steel forged by Mr Nick Wheeler. The small tan knife in the picture is a Swamp Rat Bandicoot in INFI steel. The sheaths are by Brian Wagner (Oku here on BFC). Another favorite big blade in my world is the Busse Basic 9, as recommended by Rainmaker870, or a straight-handled Busse Battle Mistress.

17" 23oz Ganga Ram Special Khukuri

16" 28oz Bonecutter khukuri

I usually take the Ganga Ram cause it is light enought to machete but can chop like an axe too.

As of right now, my Cold Steel special 15" blade Kukri in Carbon V. Takes care of small trees easily though it does bind a bit but DANG - the thing chops like an axe!!!

The best I ever owned was a Rinaldi Armageddon, with 11 inches aof razor sharp, Bos treated A2. I've been sorry I sold it ever since...

Well, I would have to say a kukri since your blade requirements were over 7''. No worries though. I must say that I have a MercWorx Equatorian I just recently purchased and being in Iraq as a contractor I feel pretty safe with it. But just incase I have a Tom Brown Tracker and Scout as back up....hahaha. No, we were not issued weapons unfortunately, lots of AKs around here though that I wouldnt mind having..We are considered a nerd mercenary or tech merc....hahaha. I do like kizo's knife though. Very nice.
