Once I took out my Buck Ranger in front of my mechanic while getting my car worked on(81 Ford Thunder with the 5.0 that had those damn variable venturies on it's carburator, had I know at the time, I would have just bought a Holley to replace it and would probably still have the car, except it'd be fixed up by now), and he said "Wow! That's a big knife!" or something like that, which is real dumb if you're familar with how small a Ranger is, and especialy coming from a mechanic.
I've been variously acused of carrying a "butterfly knife" or switchblade because of my uncanny ability to open and close lockbacks without bladeholes or thumbstuds one-handed.
