I've done some research on this board, but a lot of the recommendations are for knives that are wider than I would prefer.

What are some of your favorite non-serrated, thin, light weight, EDC knives? I'd like to stay under $70.

In another thread I got close to liking the the Spyderco Salt 1 or Delica4, but I feel like it would be too wide when closed in my pocket. I like to be able to reach into my pocket for other things without the knife blocking my hand.

The BM 530 seems nice, but it seems like the 531 is going to be a better blade, plus it will have a G10 handle....and it's outside of my price range.

I really like the handle length, G10 handle material, blade length, and the weight of the Kershaw Skyline, but some people have complained about the thin tip of the blade. I have one of these and like it a lot, but I'm looking to buy 7 knives as gifts for a special event, so I want something a little fancier than the $34 Kershaw.

For reference, Skyline info: Blade length: 3-1/8 inches, Closed length: 4-1/4 inches, Overall length: 7-3/8 inches, Weight: 2.3 ounces).

It's hard to get lighter and thinner than the 530 in your price range.

Sure, the 531 has nicer scales, but the blade of the 530 is a wicked slicer all the same.

I keep a two layer Vic and a Kershaw Leek in the same pocket. The Leek is thin enough that I can get in and grab the Vic with no issue in jeans or cargos. Wicked fast action, butter smooth pivot, and takes an edge very nicely. It is configurable for tip up or tip down right hand carry. When I picked up my Leek, it went for ~$50.

Manix 2 lightweight, its light, thin, but its kind of full size, but its so light you might forget its there...

Wenger Patriot is my current thin/lightweight knife, but Victorinox makes a version of that as well. Thin single spring pen knife with thin alox scales, it's small and lightweight and despite the blade length being smaller than I prefer I find it to be very practical. Other top candidates are things like the Victorinox Cadet, Pioneer, and if you can track one down Alox Bantam.

Than we can get into other traditionals, pen knives, peanuts, several single blade knives, etc.

My favorite is the Endura, I don't find it too wide at all when reaching for other things (unlike the manix 2 and XL though I still really like those ones too), The leek would be another good choice (I found it too small for my hand though, much like the 530). +1 on the Skyline as well. If you do decide to go up in price the BM 940 and 710 are exceptionally slim in pocket for their size.

I own around 20 high quality folders, and the best I have found, and used yet is my Ontario Rat 1. It is a Randall design I think, and it is thin, yet built like a tank and made to perform. It is my most comfortable folder to hold and use. Retails for around $40. jus my 2 cents

Back in the day I would've said Mini Grip, you know, when they were <$70. Now, it's the Delica, and it's not too wide unless you wear super skinny jeans with baby pockets. VG-10 just takes an awesome edge.

For roughly half the price, if you want slimmer, the Rat 2 comes in second. A Leek would probably be a good one too though I've never owned one.

I really like the Kershaw OD-1, but those are discontinued, and the OD-2 doesn't have much in common with its bigger, older brother. Finding seven would be tough.

if you prowl the exchange you can get lucky sometimes. I bought a benchmade 470 for $95 and a spyderco sage 1 for $70. You can usually find a knife that retails for $100ish in the $70 range if you're patient/lucky enough. But back on topic I would reccomend the spyderco stretch, thin handles, thin 3.5 inch blade and the best ergos that spyderco makes!

I've actually seen more than a few people back pocket carrying Leeks, so that might be the way to go. Leeks make awesome gifts, and come in several colors.

Almost impossible to find a knife thinner than a Douk Douk plus they can be had for under 30 bucks all day long.

My cold steel Code 4 with the spear point carries extremely thin. Im looking at it right now next to my kershaw skyline and its actually thinner buy a hair.
