Favorite Logos?

Ah the wererat I hadn't seen that one before, lol just learned something new. That'd actually translate well onto skin if it gets done right; I used to work at a tat shop a lifetime ago, got pretty good at doing it too. I'd say come on down & I'll do it up for you but it's been sooooo long lol I think black & gray would be the best bet for something like that and some neat shading. Could really make it 'pop.'

Nope, through last year or two anyways. The wererat logo is kinda neat too.:D Actually been thinking of getting it inked.Like all their designs/ art logos on shirts, cs, tg. Like the buck anvil also, bm butterfly.

Not the official logo per se but is this trademarked to Ernest Emerson? Not bad imo.

^^ That is exactly the badass skull I was talking about. I think Ernest calls it the Bad Intentions Skull. Frickin sweet. Looks pretty tough.

Cool, I have a cousin and a friend that has said theyd do it for free, don't know if eithers skills are that good tho. The HOG logo might be easier, plus would probably rather have that, the war boar blade tusks are just too cool.:D

I remember being a bit down when Kershaw changed their logo.

I've since gotten used to the new one, but I miss the old one.

Oh, very nice...Hopefully they have some kind of portfolio/past work you could look at...? Definitely don't make that decision lightly, lol You have to live with it forever so you can politely let them down easy if necessary.

Years ago, I had a friend that was just starting out with tattooing and offered to do my graffiti type tat for me for free...I wriggled out of it politely because I just didn't trust a virgin tattooer. I got it done by the shop owner who's been doing it for 25 yrs. Not that my friend was bad, just inexperienced...new tattooers sometimes don't know how deep to put the ink, etc...and so it'll heal faded even though it's brand new, or the skin can get injured, stuff like that.

I like the HOG logo too, I never thought about them as tats until today but I think any of the couple logos you like would make a badass tattoo. It's funny too, I never noticed that the tusks were blades until fairly recently. I always saw the logo small, just never thought of it.

Eh, mostly basic stuff, skulls/symbols/lettering. Nothing professional/real difficult that I've seen. Haven't seen anything they've done for awhile so might have done some complicated stuff. They are AMAZING artists though. And yeah, I've had gift certificates from a shop for two years debating what to get cause don't like thought of regretting what chose. Next month I'm using them up, one way or the other. The owner could croak soon then it'd be $ down the drain.:D

Lol...don't let him croak without cashing in first. Would love to see pictures of the drawing and/or final ink if you do end up going thru with any of them. Being a great artist is pretty much 95% of the battle won for tattooers, so that's a good start.

(I did the creepy ESP time stamp thing again...happened to check back in this thread precisely 1 minute after you posted, lol still not spying on you)

The BM butterfly reminded me of The Widow's flag on Into the Badlands; hers is better, would be a cool tat

:D, yeah think there is already an ink thread around here somewhere (w&c/pc?), will after its done, should post your graffiti tat there!
I'll stop getting off topic, sorry op.

I've always liked the one for Spyderco...classic, recognized right away, hasn't changed through the decades.

Yep, as a guy that has owned dozens of different tarantulas and rare spiders species, the Spydercos logo has always appealed to me. Probably my favorite logo.

I also love Rocksteads logo. Whoever designed the logo to abbreviate six letters is a genius. Can anyone else see what six letters are in the logo?

the Hydra logo from WR Bladeworks (Walter Randolph) is my favorite.
Followed closely by Allen Elishewitz' AE dolphin logo.

Good one ^^ I didn't think of them before.

Omg, this is the first time I have ever noticed the penis in the Strider logo. Lol I will never see it the same again. I had heard it called the flying penis but always thought they were referring to the knife in the logo.

Elle Oh Elle.
