Favorite Non-Flippers

Multi-blade traditional slipjoints (especially the stockman pattern) and the Buck 110/112The what I "grew up" (note quotes) with, and still cut everything I need a folding knife to cut. (or scrape) :)

The only flipper I got in the last 5 years was a Buck Vantage sprint run. And I always use the blade hole to open it.

My favorite non-flippers have to be the CRK's. Other notables are the Crooked River, Manix, Dragonfly, Bugout, and Ritter Grip. The Benchmade Vicar is also worth a mention, a non-AXIS gem in the Benchmade line IMO.

Agreed. It's crazy that the word "non-flipper" has come into usage. Flippers are a new phenomenon. When did they come into existence? 5-10 years ago?

The vast vast majority of knives are "non-flippers"...though with the flipper buying and marketing frenzied mania over the last few years it is hard to remember sometimes.

Since none of my knives are flippers, I guess all my knives are "favorite non-flippers."

Flippers have been around longer than that. I bought my first back in ~2004, a CRKT M16-12Z. POS knife.

However, with the Ti framelock becoming so popular this past decade, plus add a flipper and bearing pivot, boom we have the explosion of the past ten years.

Personally, I'm not much into manual knives anymore. Last two I bought were automatics, kinda hooked on OTFs.

Uh-oh. I guess I had more favorite non-flippers than I thought. Now time to go document all my "Still Kinda Like" Non-flippers. It's gonna be a long list. :D
May I ask, what’s the bottom knife in the second picture?

Hogue Ritter RSK MK1-G2
Southern Grind Spider Monkey
Benchmade Anthem
TRM Atom (may not be helping mine; but that has nothing to do with the knife)

Going a bit more traditional:
Buck 501 (DLTs version in s35vn)
GEC models 92, 56, 73, 77, 15
