Anyone with any sort of knife collection probably has at least one they would consider "overkill," as in it's simply overmatched for all but the most extreme (and implausible) uses.
Here's mine:

^Lovely for postapocalyptic scenarios, cocaine-related movies, or the occasional watermelon attack; awkward in mixed company. (Also inexplicably only fits people with small child-like hands which is me.)

What's your favorite "overkill" knife? (Pics a plus.)

Welcome to the forums and nice topic:). I used to own the exact knife maybe 13 years ago or so. You may find after doing some research that this particular knife isn't considered to be of any high quality, but I don't doubt that it would be an effective weapon.

Here are my two "overkill" blades, the Hinderer XM-18 and the Swamp Rat Rodent Waki:

AK-47. For when you absolutely, positively, have to...

12" Forschner Cimeter, it may not seem to be the first choice for a poop your pants shiv but, when uncorked in the kitchen a foot long curved blade and prep cooks lose fingers trying to guess if your going to quarter a lamb or go postal on a nutbag.

Though I don't own an overkill knife, I would say that the Rodent Waki wins. It would be my preferred blade for the zombieapocalypse.

Is that the knife used in the movie Cobra, with Stallone?.

It sure looks like the Cobra knife doesnt it? My choice would be the CS Rajah. I love kuk blades but its so big its best used as a machete! hey where else can you get a machete that folds up to go in your go-bag?!

That looks to be the unlicensed knock off of the Cobra knife. I used to have that one when I was a kid.

The official one had a medalion in the blade. :)

That is NOT an "overkill knife!" That is a Tactical Skinning Ulu, used for decades by Eskimos! It is meant as a last ditch form of protection in the off chance that the animal your skinning isn't really dead, regains consciousness, and doesn't appreciate the fact that you're skinning it!!

:p

This is a bit off-topic, but Jesse B., you might want to keep that knife out of sight of any police officers. It might be considered to be "metal knuckles," which are illegal to possess in CA (up to one year in prison).
