  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Favorite Rare Spyderco

The Spyderco C46 in just about any configuration. I have a Ti version ins ATS-55 and the G10 with VG-10. IN my opinion, some of the best collabs from Spyderco and the late Bob Lum. He was an incredible knife maker and I'm very happy to own and use some of the knives he designed.

Forgot about the C22. I love the two I have:thumbup:

2013 Forum Native5 is certainly my favorite out of limited production.
Honorable mention: Kopas (Cocobolo, Gold Mother of Purl, terquise, Giraffe bone, Apple and Tiger Corals, 3 flavors, blue bone, honey jigged bone), Ti Fluted Native5, gray g10 and burgundy Jesters, CF Dodo, CF bolsterd caly3, 2009 Forum Native (probably rarest knife, which I own) and Shabarias. I love my Persians, but I am not sure, if I can consider them rare. Quite a few were made.

Just got a super deal on a pretty rare one. Here's a teaser until it shows up:

"It is the name of a helicopter, and I already have a Chinook."

Feel free to make guesses...;)

For rare Spydies the Gunting and Gunting Trainer top my list. Dont really love the knife but they are rare.

I have a Massad Ayoob in VG10 that I picked up a few years ago new for 65 bucks. I have seen them on ebay for over $200; it is unique to say the least,
but I collect and never sell.

First Spyderco I owned. Think it's the Standard. I did some finish work to the handles as they we getting scratched from use.

That looks nice! I believe it's called 'Geneva Pattern' in Swiss Made watches. Not sure though... (see pic below)

How did you do the finishing work?

Just used a felt bob with valve grinding compound on the end in a drill press. As it's turning in the press I just bring the arbor down and touch the surface. Quite easy.
