Favorite Rare Spyderco

OP, you reminded me how i regret not purchasing an ocelot from knifeworks some years back when they had them for like $40ish, they were just trying to move them at that point. I wish i had jumped on that.

I just purchased a Leafstorm because they are getting kind of hard to find, and it is such a unique looking knife, i really wish i could have gotten some of the Corian aftermarket handles from Wilkins before he discontinued them, the lime green and orange were really cool.

Error, I was just SLIGHTLY late to the party on those exact knives! Would love to own that design in the gray G10, but being a knifenut means being late to the party every once in a while.

Anyway the two favorite rare spydies that I do not own would be the Lum Tanto and the D'allara drop point. My two favorite that I do own would be the Foliage Green G-10 Delica, and the fully-serrated R2 with the skeletonized almite scales.

I think the Phoenix. I had 2 at one point, apparently I should have held on to both of them.

I have a very clean Lil Temp Rhino Horn that I am really fond of. Another would be a fully serrated Ayoob. Any of my Sprint Militaries. A bunch more - love em all!

My favorite rare spyderco I have is this one:

Maybe this

S30V CF Military (first carbon fiber Military, single liner, thicker blade, 400 made, lighter than the later runs)

Not super rare, but it was a sprint so maybe it counts?

Not that any of these are all that rare (Delica was 1200 and SpyKer was 1200 IIRC, not sure about the original Civ) but they took a lot of time to locate in the condition I wanted with things like the unique paperwork, correct boxes, from a seller who had cared for them, etc. Couldn't have done it without this forum actually...

Yojimbo 2s are exactly rare but signed ones are :-) The Ronin and PM2 are two of my favorite models. The C22 is rare but not a 'favorite', per se.

The Dodo! I love the uniqueness of the design and the feel in the hand.

I do hope someday they will do a sprint with a caged ball bearing lock so it can be easier to disengage the lock.

the d'allara is also one of my favorites, it was such an overlooked and underrated model:(

i also think the first version of the Chinook was one of spydercos best offerinsgs, i always wish for that one to come back as a sprint.
