Favorite sheath knife or gun

For ccw guns leather all the way. It just breathes and wears so much better. For duty, polymer (it holds it's shape better over the years).

For knives I prefer leather also, but but I don't hate the kydex like on a CCW gun holster.
 
For my carry pistol I like a hybrid leather/kydex holster

Guns & Knives ~~ all Custom Leather as everything else makes to much noise and is to stiff to carry in a Shoulder Holster or on your Hip.*
As they always say ~~ Leather is as smooth as a Baby's Axx******
 
I'd say leather for most roles (aside from tactical or high moisture), quiet, easy on the knife, can be turned into a work of beauty (nudge nudge, sky) and is workable for simple folk with little experience like me (hey I got my leatherworking badge in scouts :) )

Leather for knives, but I've got to go hybrid for my guns. I love my Crossbreed and Comp-Tac holsters because you get the leather backing, but they end up being much thinner for IWB carry.
 
For my pistol, my newest fav is a kit I built from Old Faithful Holsters, don't even know its there. Made with Leather and Kydex

As soon as i get home I will take that picture, it won't be beutiful, you would probably need sunglasses to handle that cause things will get ugly and under.
