Favorite Shield?

I would have to say my favorite shield is this Ace of Spades shield that Ken Coats made for me. I like it so much that I had Ken put one on each side.

These two are my favorite of the shields GEC commonly uses. Wish they would offer them on more of their knives. The cloud shield is actually the reason I chose the walnut 42 over the copperhead bone.

This shield is my favorite...IT is what caught my eye in a bin of old rusty knives at a flea market...and I am so glad that it did

I like the shield on the knife in the center best. For some reason I like the broader designed ones with less sharp edges.

I admit to being fond of the bollocks shield, but I generally prefer shields with very clean lines. The one that Ken put on the Junior Michigan Pen he made for me is one of my favorites, and not a shield I've seen often.

My favorite is this symmetrical shield on a symmetrical knife, the congress.

I'm not sure the official name of this one, but I call it a "banner shield."

This pretty well sums it up for me, other than shadows and really small knives, I think a shield really adds something to a slipjoint.

Pistonsandgears, thanks for the compliment. I really love that knive, it has ridden on my left hip everyday since I got it in January.

Depends on the shape of the handle, some shields work well with some styles but not with all.

Propeller, Bow Tie, Cloud and the plain Bar are all very nice. A lot depends of the placement of the pins and shield too.

The Diamond is one you don't see enough of in my view.

I'd have to say my favorites are dogs and fish. But I do have a lot of affinity for arrowheads and acorns too.
