I was wondering what your favorite single bladed slipjoint is? It doesn't have to be a user, or a collectible; whichever slipjoint that you like the most.

For me its the GEC 92 in spear point or a barlow( preferably of the TC variety :) )

The 92 is nice and slim with a nice blade length, and the barlow really fills the hand up nicely.

Toss up between Case Slimline Trapper and Case Russlock. I don't have many years of the knife hobby under my belt so check back in a couple of years and I may have different answers.

Gosh I'd have to say my trusty old Northfield #55 in autumn gold... But the TC Barlow is close on it's tail!

I would say for me its a toss up between any of the GEC #15 patterns and the Case Swayback Gent.

That is great to hear Jon. I have a Northfield 92 ordered in Che Chen Rosewood. You and I a very similar tastes in knives.

I can't say I have one favorite single blade knife but when I carry one, iit just may well be one of these.

Well, I have two I suppose. One smaller and one larger.

First is this simple Queen single blade that came from Charlie. It's probably second only to my Case smooth chestnut mini-trapper for my most carried traditional slippie.

The other is a Camillus made Remington Musket-1, jigged bone scaled grandaddy barlow. It carries surprisingly well in the front pocket. It has great walk and talk and good half-stops. Just enough spring resistance for me without being heavy.

The Queen is very crisp and clean on walk n talk and half stops as well. I picked up a second on the bay a few years back and it had none of the W/T and no half-stops and was nothing like this little Queen. So I traded it off.

My favorite knife is my GEC Model 73. I really like the handle and blade shape. Mine has ebony covers covers with light and dark streaks. I like how the 1095 steel performs but I am not happy about the patina. I look forward to reading other people's experiences with the Northwoods Indian River Jack.

I would have to say it's a toss-up at any given moment.

Right now, it's probably this Barlow that Keith Johnson made for me, but that could change tomorrow.
