After seeing all of those gorgeous Rounders, I'm really wanting one. I think I'll have to contact Jerry Halfrich.

Of single blade slipjoints I have had the Laquoile R. David was my favourite. The construction is sturdy and it snaps like a gator. The steel (Sandvik 12C27) is quite good, if not stellar and I got it in to shawing sharpness. I know there are better Laquoile knives, but this was good enough for me. I gave it away but intend to get another one some day. Maybe with snakewood handle.

kamagong, that Ohta Wharncliffe is amazing! I don't even have to own it - just knowing
that it exists in the world has made my day!

I don't have too many single blades, but my favorite is this Doc Hagen Wharncliffe trapper.

It's very difficult for me to say what my favorite single blade slipjoint is, because if I keep it I like it. I guess I'd say my #65 Ben Hogan in Black Gold acrylic:

That's an old picture, it has a nasty forced patina now.

For me its the GEC 92 in spear point or a barlow( preferably of the TC variety :) )

The 92 is nice and slim with a nice blade length, and the barlow really fills the hand up nicely.

Where's your quote from?
