Favorite Spyderco for Food Prep

Title says it all...What is your favorite Spyderco for food prep? Or which do you think would be best?

I currently carry my favorite Spyderco knife/Grail...Cruwear Military and I am looking for a second knife to do food prep. (I like to have one knife for exclusive food prep and the other for everyday things).

I think the Endura is really nice for the kitchen and it's not very expensive.

I was thinking of an Endura 4 FFG in Grey to go along with the Grey G10 of the Military. Have had multiple Enduras before and always thought they did well in the kitchen. Just didn't know if anything else was as good for that role.

I like my Nilakka for kitchen duty.

My absolute favorite is the K05 Utility Knife...

...but if I have to use a folder for food prep, I'll use a Stretch.

When doing food prep, do yourself a favor and use a REAL kitchen knife. Narrower blades and finer edges. It makes a world of difference.

The Catcherman in MBS-26 is ground thinner and finer than many dedicated kitchen filet knives. (it is sadly discoed and I don't have a spare)

I totally agree. However, I am looking for a food prep knife for on the go (i.e., folder) Having young children I am cut up an amazing amount of food being away from home and I don't like to use my regular edc as it cuts some pretty nasty stuff.

Pacific Salt would be a pretty low maintenance option. Similar in size to endura, but no nested steel liners to add weight and trap food stuff.

Spyderco's a company that pays attention to edge geometry and slicing ability so naturally, their lineup has many capable knives for this purpose. The Military, ManixXL, Stretch, Endura, and Tenacious are the ones that I'd suggest.

My JD Smith gets the job done nicely. My PPT did great last night with potato, onion and garlic.

Currently this is K04 PE, but I am waiting for Spyderco to remake their Chef's knife.
