My Matriarch 2 gets the most pocket time. Mostly because I like the shape and serrations for ripping through stuff at work. It's effective, didn't cost a lot, and the VG10 is decent.

For me there is just something special about a Delica. It has a nice smooth action and lock up without too strong of a spring. It also has a nice thin blade stock and full steel liners.

Yep, Delica is basically the Goldilocks knife for me. I also really like the larger Endura for certain tasks but day-to-day it's a Delica in my pocket.

The thin blade on the Delica doesn't get enough credit.

Sorry folks, I am just not a Spyderco fan.

U get that they are, generally, a high-quality knife, regardless of the model.

I just cannot stand the hump and eye hole in most blades. ASs George Castanza often said, 'It isn't youy, it is me.'

I would much prefer have a "flipper" design such as the CRKT M16 or M21. Wish they were made with the same standard for qualkity as most Spyderco knives.

I like my Native 5 in S35vn. Other frequent carries are my GB2 and Military in S110v; not lightweight, but still highly portable.

Agreed. Once you look past the modern locks on new models I think the Delica is tough to beat for edc. Also the backlock keeps the knife closed if accidentally dropped which is kind of important since I have small kids.

I can't believe you didn't include the Native5LW. It's my favorite, closely followed by the Manix2LW.

There were a LOT more I wanted to include, but there are a limited amount of poll options available in the forum software.

Spyderco does/did make a few flippers. (with tiny holes, too)

"I just cannot stand the hump and eye hole in most blades. " I kind of felt this way at one point but i got so used to that look that i got over it.They are just too good a knife not to have.I do like the sabre grinds better ; i wish they made a military with a sabre grind.

Spy27 Native. I just like that color and also the steel.

The SE Salt D'fly gets carried a lot as well.

The LW Chap is close, but too thin ergonomically for me, I sold it and kept a couple of regulars.

One thing about the big hole and hump is that it makes the knife usable with big thick gloves on. It's something we forget about until we want to do it.

The hole also doesn't get in the way of through cuts, like a stud can. (to be fair, it's also not a problem with flippers or nail nick models)
