The mask was definitely one of the issues. His phony voice reminds me of Otto the school bus driver from The Simpsons.

I since added a statement to my OP ;)

Nevertheless, his video will cause some more Survive! interest and GSO 10 preorders which will be a good thing for Survive! and GSO 10 Survivors!

Good point.
I'm just glad that his video wasn't the first one I watched before buying a Survive! knife. I probably would have categorized them with other "mall ninja" knife makers that do stupid things like stab and cut pig carcasses.

The comments were hilarious. Dudes were asking how the 10 compared to the Schrade this or that. One guy even asked how it was compared to Chris Tanner's knife design......

I own some Schrades and appreciate them for what they are, but we know there's no comparison.
 
This fella I am going to post on here is not a Survivor! yet but he seems to fit some other important criteria: He seems to be middle aged (like some of us the elders in here), detail conscious, even keeled, well-mannered and polite. Plus his knowledge and skills ain't half bad either ;)

I'll have to check out some of his vids. Season 1 of Alone got me subscribed to Joe Robinet. I was subscribed to Mitch for awhile, but not enough of his videos kept me interested.
 
That TOPS Armageddon didn't do so badly at all. With the CS that Tactical got from TOPS replacing his previous Armageddon which got bent on him, free of charge, readily available at almost 60% of the GSO 10 price; Tact is going to move some Arms for TOPS!

Is this Satire? Sometimes when I am working with my axe, and I miss by 1/4" I feel like a noob. I'm not nearly as good as my grandpa who would rarely not hit the same spot. I mostly hit the same spot. Watching these guys, I am not sure they are trying to be serious. Is this like, Redneck version of Trailer Park Boys? I need to know how to take them, if they are being serious or it's comedy + education. If they are being serious, I'm pretty sure I could out perform their results using a random selection of my Toddler's butter knives.

GSO 10 wins with the TOPS in a close second. Big Schrade is in the middle with bk9 fourth place and the Ontario a distant last place.

That chopping test don't mean a thing if he can't keep the blade on the same spot, and like Standard78 I wanted to give up 30 secs into the vid but I forced myself to finish the video. Still don't mean a thing to me.

That's exactly my point. That's why I thought it was comedy. I was fully expecting a GEE PAWWW, DIS UN ERE SURR IS SHARP!

Always fun to watch this guy's videos. I am pretty impressed with the $50/$60 Schrade. I'd love to see the edges of the blades after this test.
 
It is entertaining if it's your kind of thing. Once in a blue moon I see that show Trailer Park Boys and laugh at something but mostly I'm not interested or maybe just not in the mood.

He's a complete douche nozzle of the nth degree. I had come across his videos before and he had disabled the comments on his first review of the GSO 7/7. What a wanker!
