That is hands-down the coolest fighter I've ever seen.

I just have to chime in that the Patton damascus fighter is AWESOME.

Thanks to everyone for sharing.

I haven't had the opportunity to handle that many particularly nice fixed blade fighters, but the Randall #1 my dad had carried in Vietnam, and the Elishewitz fighter I drooled over at a gun show but didn't buy are probably the two best I've felt with regards to balance and construction.

Thanks,
B.

thanx for the kind words fred.the best lessons are the ones u learn the hard way, knifemaking is no different

My 6" K-Bar tanto...concealable, light, good balance, 1095 steel gets razor sharp and holds it, and tanto design is great for stab/thrusts. I've modified the original Tanto grind slightly; now its a full convex grind at the "tanto" portion, so penetration is even more effortless.

I've got a Gerber Mark I and a Cold Steel SRK. Both have leather sheaths that have metal reinforcments rivoted to the bottoms. Both tough inexpensive knives. The Mark I isn't produced anymore so it doesn't see any action. I also like the Benchmade Nimravus but I plan on getting the Camillus Cuda CQB-1 now that it has a satin finished 154CM blade. Very nice!

.........I guess my favorite full size fighter would be a Rob Patton fighter-bowie, with a mini-gun damascus blade, mini-gun steel guard.......

That's an amazing piece of cutlery. I'm curious though, I thought most gun barrels were 4140 or similar steel?

I have both and much prefer the Nimravus, due to its more secure grip.

Gerber Silver trident. I love the handle. Very secure and comfortable and I also like the fact that it is double edged. It seems to be the one I always reach for.

I love those Silver Trident handles also.

Ari,your Hanson Bowies are something else!  :D
