Favorite torx tools?

I've been using a Husky Torx set. It's Home Depot's house brand, and they'll replace it under warranty if you break it.

Wiha and Wera are excellent, but Titan is also nice and I've not seen them mentioned yet.

I bought THIS set for my daughter in a pinch, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality, for the price.
FWIW I now own this set, along with a Bondhus and Wiha set.
(I spent most of my life as a mechanic and I can't resist collecting tools)

Huh. No one has mentioned Teng Tools.
I have one of their little sets with a tool holder and ratchet wrench that I am very fond of. As it comes it has only a few Torx bits, and not the smaller sizes, but that is easily remidied.

afaik the general perceived difference between Wera and Wiha is:
Wiha caters more to the smaller sizes of tools (specialized sizes)
Wera more to the general more common i.e. bigger sizes of drivers.
Walking around thru gemani you'll see much more Wera in sale and use, whereas Wiha is more behind closed door shops (small clean workshops, precision, labs, electronics biz). Rough dirty workers haha they all use Wera, never tried Wiha.
i would definitely claim that Wera is more popular (name, sales, availability, etc) than Wiha over here. Definitely. but in the global online community for small precision stuff

I bought my big wooden iFixit kit before they stopped selling them. I love this kit! I've used it for electronics, firearms, and all kinds of stuff. There was a couple of times that I was sure that I ruined a couple of bits - but they were perfect without a scratch. Can't say the same thing for the fasteners. Lol! I don't know why they stopped selling these sets.

I also have this kit from Griot's Garage, which has regular and tamper-proof bits. Works great, but I did manage to break the tip off the T6 bit (still enough left to be useable though), so that's how I got into Wiha.

I have had to replace quite a few T-6 bits--including a few Wiha's. The tiny little bit just doesn't last.

I have found that if you use the "power" bits, they will hold up much better.

Yeah, the Wiha power bits even look and feel like higher quality steel.
I also have a set of Stanley precision screwdrivers that have lasted more than 20 years I think. I can't remember when I bought them but I have had them for a long time and they are still in great shape - and I use them all the time.

Anybody ever tried the Journey Tool Company Knife maintenance kits? They are pricey, but people seem to like them.

They probably don’t make them that good anymore!

The LocTited knife is not labeled as to the grade of the glue, you have to discover it with your bit.
