Favorite Traditional Knife Pics of 2023

I bought and was gifted a few beautiful knives in 2023, but my favourite folder and all round knife is easily this.

I grew up in a fairly poor family where game made up a big part of our diet. My brother and I from the time we could walk trapped rabbits with dad and sold the skins for pocket money. When we were maybe 8 or 9 dad used to let us ride our bikes to the neighbours and trap rabbits under their barns and rubbish piles. By the time I was mid teens the industry was done here but all that skinning was done by either our forest pen knives or dads bunny knife.

I've been wanting a decent one for years and when Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 agreed to sell this one to me I was over the moon.

It's hardly left my pocket since. Thanks again for the opportunity Bob, it's a treasure to me!

Glad I could help Jack.

In terms of photography, nothing at all of remark here. But I keep it for the next time I hear somebody moaning about "CASE need to learn how to sharpen" ;) I had this 18 Stockman under a week, had been busy using it on citrus to patinate it, then was just getting it ready to set it up for a photo... when the Sheepfoot seized my finger :D Quite a lot of blood too and annoying as I was just about to go out on an appointment.

I picked three I liked. In the mornings I sometimes walk along some cliffs overlooking the ocean. I donโ€™t often walk down to the beach. But I took a picture of a Kโ€™roo when I did. The light was just right and the pearl came out nice on the Toole. I take a lot of pictures of knives on this plastic table like this one with a Birdvis. It adds some perspective. I use my iphone and ipad. I really enjoy the knife pictures on BF.

Fine knives all, Kurt. What is the bone on that K'roo, is it stabilised, does it have a lot of pores/holes ? Looks very right!

Thanks, Will
