Favorites?

I have to say for folders, it is my Shane Sibert "Diablo" Pocket Rocket. It is one of a kind. I got it directly from Shane, and that makes it extra special to me!

Apologies for the small pic,it was the sellers'.Really should get a camera and hope for some overcast days.
I don't have any favorites but I kinda' like Rodrigo's curly maple Gambler Bowie as well as anything, the silver wire inlaying is nice.(you can't see it):o
The choil is pierced with a heart.

Some great looking knives in this thread.

My collection is modest compared to most of what I see here, but my favorite fixed blade is a kukri made by Ruffin Johnson. It is just over 16" long, made from 1/4" 440C stock, with a desert ironwood finger grooved handle with radial wire inlays. Has the trademark wolf cast in silver on top of the pommel.

My favourite is the first knife I bought made by an ABS member... Mike Ruth. Simple, straight, but so beautiful and ready to use.

Trapper30 was having trouble getting a pic up so I emailed him and let him know I could post it for him, like Roger P and others did for me when I joined up.

Ari, that Beast is definitely one of my all time favorites :)

Same with that folder, Jon.

Thanks!

This is a recent favorite folder of mine.

With all the beauties you've created over 25 years, must be hard to come up with a single favorite. I could probably narrow it down to about a dozen favorite Hanson knives if I had too.

With Don being known for his sunfish and his premium ivories, it's fun to see his favorite knife being a different pattern, in stag to boot... :)

Some mind blowing pieces being shown here. Keep them coming !!

I guess my favorite or at least the most fun thing I have made was " Mr.Toasty", which was my entry in a contest that Gabe Newell did a few years ago.

Kevin, if I dig through my photos a bit more, I could come up with another favorite.
Like that last big fighter I posted a fews ago

Joss, I did fancy for so long, I guess I just got tired of it. I'm liking simpler stuff these days and this slip joint just does it for me.
A little out of character, I know :o

Fossil ivory is still my favorite handle material

Well Ive Been going back and forth since this thread was started ..and in all honesty its impossible for me to pick a Favorite (my Bose Knives Aside:cool:)

My first Custom was a Shadley Swell center Whittler in Red Bone..Gene's sadly departed wife Bev Schwartz was at the table while I circled..trying to make up my mind..not that I had a choice of knives there was the only one left on the table..
I regrettably traded it many years ago..and when I had heard she had lost her valiant bout with Cancer I mourned both Losses...
As for my current favorite...
I have to pick The Hanson Holson Collaboration....truth be told I have a piece from Don that to me is the best he's made its been displayed here a few pages back (Damn Me Joe;))
But This H/H is just a fabulous piece with both makers collaborating on a Knife that positively sings in hand..it also developed a Nasty Nasty Crack in the Ivory The kind of Crack that makes your teeth hurt for weeks ..I called Don
and He Graciously Repaired her..But..You Know..Its Cracked..Still Rather than replace the Handle Ive decided this knife is now Even More Mine For better or Worse Sickness and Health..and it is no less Spectacular.

Here's my friend Chuck Kerwin's (ckerwin) favorite. And no wonder. A beautiful Daniel Winkler Frontier Set with Daryl Meier Damascus and of course Karen Shook leather artistry.

Bob Papp made this for me many years ago its my first custom and will always be my favorite.

Riad, it is nice to have tough choices, but I understand how your wounded collaboration is a favorite. It is indeed a special blade!

Each one I have had commissioned is special to me. But this one made in the Ozarks for Flava, pictorially forged on Don's website, shipped to France, and finding its place back in the Ozarks is my favorite.

Tough choice.

Indeed! They All Resonate in some way...Glad She's Home Joe.

It's always nice to see knives staying or circulating among the blade forums custom's members. :)

So many times knives are sold never to be seen again. Nice one Joe.
