Favourite fidget knife?

+1 to Benchmade's axis lock because...

1. It's super fast - I doubt there's any other lock type that can be open + closed as quickly
2. Benchmade knives are ultra smooth once broken into
3. It's satisfying to move the lock up and down
4. You can do everything with one hand
5. It's ambidextrous, so I can switch to my off hand when my main hand is working

I enjoy fidgeting with larger knifes as it's a more satisfying lock and sound, so something big like the Contego is a dream come true!

Ah true, I forgot about this one! I just take it out of its box to fondle it. This knife got something different for sure.

G10 Dragonfly. I like closing the lock back on it one handed. I also like my Kershaw Chill, mostly because I made some ipe scales that feel nice in my hand.

Unfortunately any balisong (unless it has a trainer blade or some other non-blade item in place of the blade) as well as any autos are prohibited weapons in Canada and are illegal to own, punishable by 5 years prison time.

True North strong and FREE lol!

A.G. Russell's One Hand knife for me. Very easy opening and closing with one hand once you get the technique down.

Do you find the handle too small? That is what always kept me from buying it. I always thought that the handle would be too small to get a full grip on.

I like the Zero Tolerance 0900 the best. That stubby short blade flips so fast and so nice! The all titanium ZT 0450 is a pretty close second.

I'm fortunate in having small hands. VERY nice for working in very tight spaces inside machines. There are spaces I can get into that literally nobody else can fit. I can get four fingers on a ZT 0450; all four inside the 'canoe'. And on the even shorter grip on the ZT 0900.

the only one that comes to mind is my ZT301, it has a nice thwack when it's opened. A close second is my ZT350. I guess I need to check out a benchmade or get me an OTF. I worked with a guy that had a microtech OTF and it was pretty cool.

I work nights and i have annoyed the family while im off work in the weekends... I guess they dont like hearing a 0450 flipping at 3am. Oops...

Most anything with a Compression Lock or unassisted (manual) Axis Lock. Best examples would be PM2 and Benchmade 940-1.

Freeman 451 BLF. If you think the Axis lock is bad for it try a good button lock. I have to be a little careful messing with it lest my fiancée murder me when we're trying to watch a movie.

This. My 451 is addicting. Button lock + Flipper = :D

Nothing wrong with a Manix2 though... I find the lightweight version more fidget friendly.

I've been flipping my Kershaw Launch for the last week and a half. It's a pretty impractical knife to do anything else:D

I would say my favorite is my ZT 909. It rockets out despite the heavy blade and the metallic click of the ball detent as the knife falls back to rest is very satisfying.

I can't imagine being so worried about a knife that you have to put rubber gloves on to touch it would be very fun to play with. It's supposed to be relaxing, not nerve wracking for fear of scratching and no longer NIB worthy. But different strokes and all that.

Also not sure what forum rule would prevent discussing a knife on a knife forum?! That's a new one to me and a bit odd...

AXIS locks are fun, especially the bigger models with a heavier blade. D/A OTF are fun. Flippers are fun but only a few are fun for extended amounts of time and usually it's not a frame lock but something like a HAWK lock or button lock. A compression lock can be fun like the PM2 and I think would make an amazing flipper. Actually I know it does and I think we will see something from Spyderco eventually.

Don't think I have a favorite though as long as it is smooth and easy to manipulate. And being able to flip closed in addition to flipping open is a nice bonus.
