I have had my Streamlight Scorpion the longest(7 years now). Great little light. I have carried a white Photon for a few years now. This year I started EDCing an Arc LS, and Arc AA.

Well, in the four years since the start of this thread I have gone through a lot of different flashlights. But the latest is the greatest, the new Surefire L2 with a 3 watt LED and two stage switch is the best I have used. 15 or 65 lumens from a fail proof LED source, best combination of features for stage use yet.

Amen to that StJames!!! Just got mine from TADgear on Friday... Get 'em while you CAN. This light is AMAZING. I usually carry my E2e HA with KL1 head along with an arcAAA-p, and just got an arcAA (from 1SKS ), but if you're runnin' outta pockets like me, the L2 is the "shiznit"

I just got mine yesterday (black of course) and it is freaking amazing...Even my non-gadget loving girlfriend though it was really cool...

I carry an ARC AAA Premium every day. It's a tough light to beat for the size. Very bright for a single LED, and the batteries last forever. Bulletproof construction. Fits in the coin pocket of my jeans.

But if I had to choose a favorite flashlight, it would be the AA Mini-Maglite with Opalec Newbeam module. That Opalec module is too good to be true. Extra-bright for an LED light and long run times. I use this whenever I go out night fishing, during blackouts, and when I'm working for long periods in the dark.

Buzzbait, you said it!
I have Arc AAA's, a Surefire E2E/KL4 and plenty of other lights, but the Opalec Newbeam sees more use than the rest of them put together.
The light output is just right - not too bright, and the low battery red LED is a great feature. Cheap to run too.
If the Newbeam isn't bright enough, it isn't dark!!
