Favourite Food Prep Blade?

When camping, I use either a ss mora, or an ss sodbuster jr. SS doesn't turn fruit brown and cleans up easier than carbon.
The sodbuster is basically a folding paring knife, and the thin blade cuts food nicely.

For long camping trips and prepping large amounts of food, I find myself reaching for the Mora Allround 8.1 inch knife, for smaller tasks it's usually an Opinel No. 10 Slim.
Here's the Mora, unfortunately I don't have my own photo of it:

And just like that we went through a 5+ year thread jump, but a good topic to resurrect. I use a variety of knives for food prep in the field but 2 that get lots of use are an Opinel #9 and a Spyderco Stretch. Both excellent slicers in a lightweight package.

I like to use Stellite blades for trailside food prep. In 6-K, I have 5.5" and 7" CUDAs, a Buck 560, and George Young fixed blade paring knives. In 6-BH (Talonite), I have 5.5" CUDAs. In 6B, I have Boye Dendritic Cobalt folders.

Right now there are a couple in the running for me. I recently got a stainless Opinel6 that is a good size for a lot of basic prep, makes a decent pareing knife. I have also used my Mora2k a lot, Its not the greatest at some things, soft cheese tends to stick and bind up, but the sheath is oversized enough to make it easy to clean later on, which is a definite plus. Lastly, I've picked up this cheap-o friction ceramic folder to try out. It has a few advantages, doesn't mind getting wet, pretty easy to clean, and its nice and light, only a touch heavier than the opinel 6. Downside is that sharpening is not easy, and field sharpening is pretty well right out. Its at a bit of a disadvantage on chopping over some designs, but I don't have any field knives that have much knuckle clearance, so its not a deal breaker, as it will chop reasonably in a pinch grip, which is also safest, given the lack of a tang.

I will generally make food with whatever is at hand, but I do like having a dedicated cooking knife to make clean-up more straight forward, and to keep pocket gear in the pockets, and cooking knives also end up on the loaner list.
