The midnight coating is excellent, but I'm already looking ahead and considering how it might look/feel as a stripper with hand-sanded scales... :eek:

I was a little surprised by how much more substantial this thing is than than BME2 or even the DTBM. It's beastly, but still feels great in hand, still nimble. I can't hardly put it down. :D

I was thinking black on black for my next fbm but DAMN that maroon looks nice!
 
There's no bad micarta in my book, but I've got the most maroon. 4 pieces and each one is different.

Would you happen to have a picture of all the different maroon blades together? I have 5 knives (7 if you include a few wait lists I’m on) on order with the maroon micarta and it would be nice to see some of the side by side comparisons.
 
It sure looks like Green on black Micarta is shipping out last, but that maroon looks really good. It looks like the tan on my BG AK47.

Here's one outside. The SOS scales looks pretty crazy dry since I sanded them. I like it though:

And inside, gave the SOS a quick rub with a cloth with some mineral oil in it:

The tan scales on my Hell Razor also look very red when they're oiled.
 
yeah that's crazy it's like fresh vs dried blood color. pretty sure the've been coming out lighter as of late "atleast what I've been seeing on grab bag or newer items in the exchange"
