FBOAT

Great idea for a thread, thanks Ironbut Ironbut !

Here is my EDC FBOAT:

And my non-user FBOAT, with a painting that my daughter gave me last Christmas:

Railsplitter Railsplitter I didn't know there was a 112 version! Very nice!

When I first saw the thread title, my half asleep mind thought of a mix between F-troop and McHale's Navy 🤣
That painting is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! Extra special.

I didn’t know there was a 110 version. 😳 I’ve been thinking about ordering another Yellowhorse knife when my tax refund hits my account.

Anybody know if David Yellowhorse takes custom orders?

Well, I just don't know. But... this 110 in Black G 10 with red liners hafted in BG42 is right up there.

My FBOAT is one that I don't have. Any of the 800 Signature Series knives from 2004, 2005 are just drop dead gorgeous. The limited series had the 802 Woodsman, 803 Skinner, 805 Pathfinder and 819 Special. They featured full tang, mirror polished S30V with checkered walnut handles, custom sheaths, and of course, signed by Chuck and CJ. Here's a borrowed image from a Makael Makael post showing his new pride and joy back in 2019. I think Buck should revive this series for all to enjoy again.

Great idea for a thread Ironbut Ironbut , this was really hard. I love all my Buck knives, and I reserve the right to change my answers.. 🤣

Favorite fixed blade, BCCI 120.
I use this in the kitchen every chance I get, love it.

I agree. That is a nice set. In mine, the skinner isn't signed, so I suspect it was bought at the factory store.

I’ve been holding off posting, trying to decide which knife is my fboat. The thing is I have different favorites for different reasons, different occasions and tasks depending on what I’m doing. 😆 I guess I will go with my favorite edc since I am retired now and have been carrying/using my large Vantage pro botm I got a few years ago. It’s just exactly how I wanted it to be with s35vn blade, natural micarta scales, it’s just a sweet looking and very capable edc knife. IMG_0014.jpeg

Buck needs to bring back this series.
But offer a 212 equivalent.
An 802 or " 812 " would be a perfect EDC belt knife.
