feedback

Different strokes for different folks..

Its not ransom in my eyes..Its making them
aware..

In many respects with the back and forth with folks I have dealt
with..Its not an attack...holding their feedback or they took it in any other way...
It worked out to be a simple reminder and I have had
very good results..

95% of the folks in here are OUTSTANDING..Really hasnt been an issue..But I see where
it could bother a seller/buyer if it wasnt given back when given
People are very busy today and HappyDaddy said it the best''It is the Right Thing to Do"

As I do my best to do most of the time
Leave feedback as soon as a cordial exchange has been made and the deal is done

No one I have handled this way..took it defensively at all..Not one
I have been thnaked for the reminder..

But as I stated in the beginning
Everyone is different.
You cant force a feedback..Nor shall you

I think it is not cool to bring up a guy's name here in a thread just because he did not leave FB.

I've probably received feedback for about 25% of my sales. The people I sell to or buy from tend to disappear off the face of the earth after the transaction is completed, even with polite reminders. It is what it is.

Thank you all for your comments. Didn't mean to stir the pot. My question/concern has been addressed. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

As a buyer I will only leave feedback after receiving feedback from a seller first, after all, I held up my part of the bargain first and sent my money. As a buyer I used to sent feedback right away after receiving the knife, not so anymore. If the seller does not send positive feedback after receiving my funds, I will not send positive feedback. Quite a few transactions as a buyer with no feedback from the seller here.

Its a tit for tat..

^ What does this mean, G-man?

^ Happy Thanksgiving, Ray! Being a newbie, I can completely understand the importance for you receiving feedback. FYI: if you ever purchase anything from me, I will happily leave you + feedback.

I leave feedback immediately, because it's easy and it's the gentlemanly thing to do.

Do you at least tell the seller that you received the item and everything is acceptable? For me when I sell I want to hear from the buyer that they are satisfied. The most common way for that to happen is for the buyer to leave feedback telling me they are satisfied. As a buyer you will get more feedback if you let the seller know you are good to go and leave them feedback. All that said, if you leave feedback and ask for feedback to be left and they still don't there is nothing you can do about it.

As a buyer I always let the seller know that I have received the item and that it's to my satisfaction. I leave feedback and let him/her know that I've done so. It takes less than five minutes to leave feedback and write a short email. It takes longer for me to go to the mailbox, open the package, and inspect the knife than it does to leave feedback and send an email.

I disagree. IMO if I believe someone did a good job I don't need them to tell everyone I did to first. If it's earned it should be given regardless of reward.

I think it is not cool to bring up a guy's name here in a thread just because he did not leave FB.

I did damn it! Lol

It takes as much time to leave as it does to say that you're going to do so...

Probably if you knew what you were doing.

I think it's more important for the buyer to leave feedback as that is where the greatest potential for failure exists. As a buyer, for the most part, not all, but it's is his money green? Then yes he's good. I know their are other fears but not the point I'm making.

Do you at least tell the seller that you received the item and everything is acceptable? For me when I sell I want to hear from the buyer that they are satisfied. This is important. I don't even transfer the funds to my bank until I hear he has the item and is happy as I'm always afraid to have to dig back into my wallet and pay the guy back if something goes wrong.

As a buyer I always let the seller know that I have received the item and that it's to my satisfaction. I leave feedback and let him/her know that I've done so. Definitely like when I'm asked if I received the item or told that the item was received. I've found this to be A very important gesture.

I'm a strong believer of feedback. I always remind them that I have already left them some feedback and if they left some in return, that would be great! I've had about 10 transactions where I didn't get any reciprocating feedback.

I have only bought off the Exchange.......haven't sold anything, I find it hard to let knives go!!
I always let the seller know, immediately, I received the knife and love it. In the same message I let the seller know feedback will be given shortly. I then leave feedback, with another message that I left it......every time!! ~ 25% of sellers have not left feedback.
Oh well.
Like someone said above.....no news is good news!

Plus One for that, HD. Actually Plus Two after Kelama.

I let them know..Feedback will be left by me ..After I get verification FB was left for me

Am I missing something here? If everyone waited until their counterpart posted feedback, wouldn't there be NO FEEDBACK?
